    I'm surprised many seem to differentiate between a dog and bitch work wise. Seems the road to ruin from the outset with this mindset.     Anyone breeding successful workers will not be aware of husbandry or entering ,they will be second nature and taken for granted .Breeding cannot be hidden by poor stockmanship but can be suppressed by an idiot .The best men I've met only keep what will see work and not because it's bred this way or that .Yards full of show ponies to me are the mark of peddlers and pretenders .

    Said it before but going to again, I'm no geneticist but I've found a dog of a certain type will impart more of its it's makeup in a line than any bitch ever will but then again I've always bred with a purpose and goal in mind and used a stud over many bitches unlike some who seem to think any dog within a line is good enough .

    Was an elderly women who judged last time I was at Frampton .I got reserve with a bitch i had then called fern ,a cracking bitch with a bully head (fancy that lol).She said the bitch was a good representative of a pure pat lol but was pity about her torn ear .Think Topper was there that year.? Mate of mine asked her if she'd done much digging lol and she she looked dumbstruck . Working dogs need a working judge ,end of . Shows these days hold no allure whatsoever.

    Just for reference lads ,no tradesmen needed .They can be fitted on a building notice through building control .The burner must have a minimum of 300mm clearance round it .The hearth must be of dense construction and a minimum of 300mm beyond the front of the burger. Best way to fireproof back and sides is to use glass rock ,a fireproof board that can be dabbed onto a wall then painted .plaster needs keeping away minimum of 300mm or will crack like a bitch .Those advocating no liner or bits if liner need to rethink.     I got a detention for asking ,how do we know there is a god .I kid you not .I never knew about atheists back then but I now know I was just far more inquisitive and mentally forward than my peers .I am now a staunch atheist. I've learnt over the years ,the questions to ask to make the devout squirm in any religion and has been a source of amusement for me . Anybody looking to a third party for guidance to live their life is IMO a crackpot .

    Unless you are trained and can prove such then it is illegal to treat your dog UNLESS it is a matter of life or death .I don't agree with it but that's the way it is .Commen sense and a basic understanding of first aid for dogs will do away with the need for vet treatment but trying to do some of the more serious things can get you right in the shit .Open forum isn't the place to discuss this though.

    Legally I think only a vet is allowed to jab an animal but commen sense and time served tells me be sensible and get yo know how to look after your animals in the absence of a vet .Well done to our resident vet DC .

    Some outfit used to dump them on one of the junctions in Wiltshire and we had 10 one night ,all but one had a tiny nick in the webbing of the back feet ,all same place ,same foot .Stupid town foxes all of them .
