  1. It's something i've always fancied and being young and willing I think I'd give it a fair go, but I love my terrierwork (digging)...do you lads that are keepers do much with the terriers? Or is it all shooting and trapping to control the 'pests'?
  2. Sounds like a good spot, one I'd keep close to my chest...lol
  3. Had some good sport around the Catterick area, with big and little dogs. Is a tad hot in places though...
  4. When we're raking we let everything run. You can only kill something once, once it's dead you can't dig it again...
  5. Good going Stopend, I like the black dog, looks made for the job...
  6. I've only seen one lurcher go to ground as easy as a terrier, it's a mate's first cross bull/whippet, slightly built thing with a nice head on it. The things I've seen that dog do I wouldn't believe if I hadn't seen it. A real terrierman's lurcher...
  7. A very good book IMO, Dave Harcombe has a good 'easy to read' writing style...
  8. One on ebay for £200, It's only been out a year, will be nice to see what it's worth in 10...
  9. Nice even litter there Mik, be good to see how they turn out being so closely bred...
  10. Shitbags, they're not animal lovers, they're people haters.
  11. Just keep checking, there's foxes everywhere, and there's a lot to ground now with this cold spell we're having. No good relying on other people to find work for your dog, get out and find it for him yourself. Good luck.
  12. I don't like the ex-army type cammo, but have a couple of deerhunter realtree jackets and think they're spot on, warm, comfortable and plenty of pockets.
  13. I've just had one made last week, I work in a recycling place so just got the metal shaft off an old spit that had cracked and the head off an old shovel, also a thick nut and bolt to weld onto either end. Explained to a welding lad who works with me what I wanted and he had it done the next day. He used two nuts though, he welded one onto the shovel head piece and left one on the bolt loose that turns so you havto screw them together then use a spanner to tighten the loose nut to the tight one, works a treat and lets you line the handle up perfectly. Only charged £15 aswell...
  14. How's the bitch bred? And what's the reason for the sale? Cheers.
  15. depends wich ray walker ya mean the one im thinking was a keeper an a bullying b***%*d good riddens to the dog theiving scum yeah an he got some shit back for bullying kids I've heard the same from a few different lads...
  16. Good size fox that Dabchick, It'd hurt me to kill a specimin like that, hopefully sired a few cubs...
  17. My mate lost his dog out walking on Friday afternoon, it's a black patterdale dog, roughly 4 year old, answers to the name 'Scruff'. Just a pet not a working dog. Any info please PM, reward offered. Lost in the Barmpton Lane area of DARLINGTON,Co Durham.
  18. It's not finding the difficult earths that are deep or have few stopends that are the problem, it's having the dog to go in the places and get the result IMO...
  19. I think it's a good gesture offering the lad a dig on your permission. Don't understand the 'depth' bit though, that's what the dogs are for...WORK.
