  1. Good and bad in every line. Theyre not my cup of tea but some of my mates swear by them. Take as you find i suppose...
  2. Thats a good one Neil. My mate has it on his front room wall also.
  3. I work long hours so its the responsibility of my lass and daughter to have the pups in the house and socialise them etc. Until they go from being cute little bundles of joy to little shits chewing the cupboards and pissing all over the place then they get their marching orders and are put out in the kennels.?
  4. I have the 2 terriers coupled up and the fox and terrier drawing both framed. Some good drawings there Glyn.
  5. The wind is doing a good enough job of putting them to ground here. But I agree you can't beat a good hard frost.
  6. We released a pregnant vixen 2 days ago also.
  7. The end is nigh for the Patterdale with stuff like that.
  8. I enjoy them. I dont show dogs as it doesnt interest me but i enjoy catching up with likeminded friends and having a look around the stalls at books, clothes etc.
  9. Great pics and stories Treehands. Get some more up mate.
  10. Fair enough. What do you expect from your terriers if you dont mind me asking?
  11. Is that hair i see on your head DD?lmao. ps. Thats not Toby is it?
  12. I agree with you Neil but it's pretty plain to see that he's behind the terrier thus blocking off any escape route. Personally i like taking photos and looking back on them from time to time and remembering good days/dogs etc. I dont put them on the WWW for all to see, I'll sometimes send one or two to my close mates otherwise thats it and i see no harm in it. No good terrierman is going to get the camera out if there's more pressing issues at hand but if everythings calm and your happy the dog and quarry are safe then IMO there's no problem.
  13. I dont see the harm in it as long as the dog is in control and in no danger. Must only be delaying lifting the dog by 5 seconds by doing so.
  14. Thats it Cargol. How many others have had that exact same blood (NS) in the last 20-30 years but have squandered it and now have f**k all to show for it? Its not just a case of getting your hands on the blood and bingo youve cracked it. Its a case of working them hard for generation after generation and examining the bloodline and keeping it tight, and theres probably only a handful that have been successful at it.
  15. Its nice when everything goes smoothly like that...?
  16. What a load of shite. Theres a lot higher success rate in litters of working parents from generation after generation of working dogs than there is from haphazard or just average breedings. Thats a fact and there are dozens of lads out there digging to dogs every week that will say exactly that.
  17. Time isnt always the main factor Lee. If it'll walk after 2 hours its a coward one way or another. It's maybe a 2 hour dog on a green uneducated animal thats never seen a dog before, but if it comes up against something that will give it a fight back or a fox in a good spot it'll appear with its white flag in less time i would say.
  18. A lot of people chop and change continually because they havent got the patience or the brains to bring on a pup and enter it correctly. They either spoil every pup they have and brand it as shite breeding etc etc blaming anybody but themselves or they try to buy success by buying in entered dogs and skipping the difficult part of entering.
  19. We dont stop til late Feb early March. Like has been said the seasons are all over the place and the weather doesnt cool and the cover die back until late Oct early Nov so if we packed in in January we'd only have about 6 weeks of proper digging time.
  20. I only go out with the terriers Terry. And digging in wellies is no fun!lol
