I agree with Burnie69, i have the meindl glockners for digging and general walking and they are spot on.

I have the bib and braces and really rate them. Obviously in extreme weather any clothing will leak regardless of what the manufacturer claims.

Without the terriers i'd be a very boring person to know. When im not out with the dogs, im either thinking about them or talking to someone about them. All my close mates have terriers and if i go out for a few pints it's with dog mates! Seems pretty sad to a normal person i'd imagine but its a bug and once it grabs you there's no going back, plenty of messers come and go but theyre easy to spot. Also its not just about lads owning a terrier, its about them having the same standards, opinions and aims as you which wittles it down to a handful or more if youre lucky. Hope you manage to find -

No. Firstly because theres not a dog involved so the link between regular people and dogs that the anti's 'play on' is not there and secondly because being shot is seen as the most humane way to kill an animal so they know the public wont question it. I dont shoot but understand that it is necessary and very effective, but whats been happening the last year or so with the night vision is worrying to say the least. Lads that used to shoot one or maybe 2 a night are now getting 5+ a night. Multiply that by all the lads out there doing it and it is decimating the fox population.

Perhaps he wants them for faster stuff. Ive been out with loads of other lads' bull crosses and I admire what they do but theyre not my cup of tea. Cant go wrong with a saluki/greyhound for allround lurcher work IMO. Anyway good luck in finding what you're looking for.

Not everyone who uses thermal is an idiot. I just meant i know keepers up here who use it and also normal lads that have it and theyre out with it 4-5 times a week shooting everything they come across. Fair play if birds are going missing then the culprit needs dealing with, but being out every couple of nights for the sake of it IMO is not on.

Thermal imaging should be banned. All the keepers up here have it and IMO its totally unfair and not sporting whatsoever. Spotting a fox in the dark and shooting it without it even knowing you're there requires no craft or guile and can be done by any numpty who owns a gun. Its really battered the fox population around me.
