  1. Individually, more hassle but you'll get more in the end. I have all of them and more, don't think I could part with them though.
  2. That's my worry about vetbed, I have a couple that are twats for chewing and I think they'd eat it in no time!
  3. Feck that idea then, I hate the runs and garden looking untidy! I'll stick to the waxed shredded paper, it's the best stuff I've used.
  4. Does the dust from shavings not irritate the dogs ears and eyes? I won't use straw because of ticks.
  5. I agree with Bryan, a lot set high standards for their dogs but fall short when it comes to looking after them.
  6. And a few weeks for the hands to harden from blisters!lol
  7. What a difference from the stuff of today.
  8. Going off track a bit but out of curiosity does DR's 'black dog' not have a name? As I've heard it a few times on here and also in his interviews in the books he says the same.
  9. Well I think you're totally wrong, proper working terriers and money don't mix, simple as that. If you haven't met lads like that yet you're either not long in the game or with the wrong boys.
  10. Good reply that Micky, that's what they need, cold, hard facts.
  11. Done! Even though my MP is Labour and in past emails she hasn't shifted on the 'anti hunt' mentality. Bump Bump Bump.
  12. Great news, keep her under lock and key now I'd say mate.
  13. That's it, if its kept quiet and you're only giving them to friends then no one will be any the wiser. I think the microchipping is good in regards to stopping dog thefts but a bad thing if you've a dog go missing on a walk etc that has working scars.
  14. Well done, I think you need luck on your side and also to be in a decent area for fox numbers so that the landowner sees them as a problem. Last summer I spent a few full days knocking and handing cards out in my area but got nothing.
  15. The green and blacl stuff mentioned earlier is what I got, seen nothing to equal it for the price.
  16. Wickes have a resin based type corrugated roofing, its pretty thick and good stuff. I've had it up over a year and no problems so far. Its 6ft x 3 foot per sheet at about £17 a sheet.
  17. Have you covered the bottom of the trap in soil? I've found they won't walk on the bars or mesh.
  18. Don't know whether it's been said so far but this '20 minute dog' would also havto be a good size for a fox, not some big dull thing that would take 20 minutes just to reach the fox, it would havto be a case of straight on and harassing it before giving room to bolt. IMO not all 'failed' digging dogs can be 'good bolters', they still havto have something about them and to work the fox in a certain way.
  19. No signs of anything down our way either mate. Did you visit Deerness kennels?
  20. Going back to the original question, could I own a 20 minute dog? No. Could I own a 20 minute bitch? Yes. There's no way I could keep a dog that was a cowardly f****r. With a bitch I could put up with it as long as I was getting plenty with it.
  21. The Patterdale will always be safe while there's decent lads still keeping and working them, and keeping them out of the hands of the wannabes and dog dealers...
