    I haven’t got all the facts but it seems only one of the accusers has been named out of the “20”. He claims Nigel “sidled up to him 49 years ago, and whispered ‘Hitler was right’ “. The latest nonsense is the Tory’s saying the Reform gold badge on the T shirts is like Hitlers gold medal …. It looks more like an Olympic gold or an FA Cup winners medal, but let’s not let fact get in the way of a lie ! Have these people not heard of Godwins Law ? Cheers.

    Many years ago, when tripe was readily available, either free or very cheap from the abattoirs, we would feed blanched tripe to the whippets the day before a race as it was generally considered just a “stomach filler” , and feed them green tripe when we wanted to put a bit of weight on them. We followed what the old boys did, it seemed to work. Did it really ? Who knows. Cheers.

    Got these garlics from Lidl today 37p each. last year I got garlic from reputable dealers and I was disappointed with the outcome. I’ll start these in pots in a poly tunnel and probably move them out in the spring. Cheers.

    The actor took his name from the old Northumberland ballad “ The Chevy Chase” The Chevy chase was a hunting area around the Cheviot hills in the Northumberland and Scottish Borders. The area was disputed and when the Earl Percy of Northumberland had a hunt on the land, the Scottish Earl Douglas took offence and it led to the battle of Otterburn, ( an area I have regularly hunted), and more than 100 men were killed.     As for “The Great Beans Controversy “, all I can add, is why do some people, cafes and restaurants put the beans in a separate ramekin ? Im personally against it, it just means more washing up ! Cheers.

    Last time I was in New Zealand, Swanndri were very expensive but were 100% pure wool. Now they are not quite as expensive and are 100% polyester. I may be wrong but I heard production had moved to China ? Cheers.

    My daughter was engaged to an American marine gunnery sergeant who was in the embassy marine guard detachment in Saudi, and she spent some time in Camp Lejuenne in Carolina. I had many a great night with them in their Brass Eagle Bar at the Embassy, and found them great company and extremely polite and professional, but like all military had that humour that’s particular to the forces. They made me an honorary member and I got the T shirt; All I all, a great bunch of men I’d have back me up any time Cheers.
