Any dog is “tying”, not just a lurcher or terrier, but so are cage birds, horses, poultry, etc. Now, I’m most definitely NOT having a pop at anyone who thinks having a lurcher is “to tying”, but lurcher work can’t be your passion. I’ve never had a problem finding friends to take care of my animals, and I’d say I’ve done more than average amount of travelling. Ive never been without a dog since I was 13, and I hope I still have a dog when my time is up. Cheers.

Maybe go back to the beginning and have a whippet again. Im 70 now, and at some point I’ll have to cut back on the lamping and coursing with the big deerhound types, so a decent bred non-ped whippet for a bit of racing and mooching might be the way, but I hope that’s a long time away ! Cheers.

“Mackem, your mission, should you wish to accept it, is to spy on the American military and report your findings back to S.M.E.R.S.H…..This message will self destruct in 60 seconds ! “ Cheers. -
A dash of collie may make the saluki a bit more biddable and sensible…. Cheers.

I went to see a working steam driven beam engine in Ballarat Australia. When I worked for British Engines in the early 70’s we had a steam driven lathe that was used for metal spraying, it couldn’t be electric driven because of the metal dust in the air could cause a short. Cheers.

I’ve never fancied a bull/whippet, or a bull/greyhound for that matter, nothing at all wrong with them and I’ve seen some very good ‘uns, they’re just not my type of dogs. Of course, bull terrier featured in the creation of the “non-ped whippet “ many years ago, supposedly to give the whippet a bit more “fire”. The bull genes must have been very strong as there are still “bully” types in the odd litter even today, around 100 years later. There was regular “bully” types thrown back in the 60’s. One thing about bull/whippets; they always seem to look “nice”, which , of course, has

Watching the Malta/England game; now; I’m certainly no couch expert on football, I just enjoy watching the game, but one commentator keeps mentioning “playing in the pocket “ ! Someone please explain what that means ? Cheers.

Hmm…..it’s now breaking that Sir Bernard Jenkins, one of the Boris hating Tory MP’s on the Priveledges Committee that destroyed Boris’s political career for having a glass of wine and a piece of cake during lockdown is now being accused of attending a birthday party for his wife with other politicians and having wine and cake during lockdown…… That good old German saying “ schadenfreude” springs to mind ! Cheers.

You put could have took them and given them to the parafins in the park ….. you would have become an instant Sunderland legend akin to Charlie Hurley and Bob Stoke ! Cheers.

As I’ve said before; it doesn’t matter if you love, hate, or are indifferent to Trump and Boris, we should be worried. The “Establishment “ will never accept a populist president or Prime Minister. They are doing every thing to destroy Trump and Boris, they want them jailed and in Boris’ case, banned from even entering the Parliamentry estate , so they can’t stand for office again ! The EU is trying to destroy Oban , the president of Hungary, withholding EU funds, because he has the audacity to put Hungarian laws above EU laws. The Quisling Sunak has shown his hand by dropping t

Ah, long gone are the days when a “Mekong set”, ( a bottle of Thai whiskey, a litre bottle of cola and a bucket of ice), cost 70 baht, less than £1:50 at the time! Cheers.

Wether you love, hate or are indifferent to Boris, this stinks ! Concerted and prolonged main stream media attacks on him , then a third world, communist show trial chaired by a woman who pronounced him guilty before they heard a word of evidence, a woman who openly supported peadophiles. Hounded out of office for having a glass of wine and a piece of cake by supporters of a Starmer, a man who had a beer and a curry, breaking the same rules as Boris, Starmer, a man who insists a woman CAN have a penis, a man who will most likely be our next Prime Minister….. Be careful what you

Airline ticket prices vary wildly. Book well in advance, don’t fly on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday and you’ll find it cheaper. Ive seen it cheaper to book a weeks holiday, hotel, meals and flights included, than buying a regular return flight. But to be fair, I can fly Newcastle - New York return cheaper than getting a Newcastle - London return train ticket ! Mad, eh ? Cheers.

Boris renounced his US citizenship in 2016. Cheers.

Moochers was destroyed by one man. He had been banned from moochers and most other sites, but Carreg allowed him back on. Lots of members who actually did a bit and added to the site left because of him. Cheers.
