One thing to come out of this is that Russia’s non nuclear forces have been vastly over rated ! The days when the west worried about the Russian armoured juggernaut rolling over the Central European plains into Germany are long gone. Maybe our military planners knew this and is why the ran down manpower and tank regiments? Its already been said the Russian Black Sea Fleet could be destroyed before weighing anchor by “stand off launched” weapons, and so could there armoured divisions. Lets hope their nuclear capabilities are as obsolete and badly managed as their conventional fo

Our defence is M.A.D. If Russia launched a nuclear attack on us , even if we were destroyed, so would Russia be, by a combination of our nuclear capabilities and the invoking of Article 5 of the NATO treaty. Thats our defence. Cheers.

Why would England be his easiest target ? We have very good nuclear defence and attack capabilities, Eastern European countries such as Poland, Hungary, etc , and the Baltic states would be far easier targets. Cheers.

It’s only my opinion, but contractors only fight for who is paying them. Putin has been starving Wagner PMG of supplies, maybe he is late with their wages aswell, perhaps the sanctions are biting harder than he admits ? It takes a lot of money and materials to wage a war, and perhaps Putin is running out of both ? As I say, just an opinion. Cheers.

We've been in the "Schrodingers Cat" phase since contact was lost, mate. In an hour or two, when the oxygen supply runs out, we move into the next phase, which sadly means there is a conclusion. It doesn't matter to me how much money they have, or how they choose to spend it........it's a terrible way to die, and my sympathy is with their families. Cheers.

Please bare with me here; I’m a retired engineer and certainly no economist! As I understand it, a “recession” is defined as two quarters of negative growth”. So, even if a countries GDP has grown year after year for many years, then after six months of negative growth, the country is in “recession “ ? Is that such a bad thing ? Can a countries economic growth go on indefinitely ? I also understand that a countries GDP grows as the population grows, mainly due to immigration, but per capita GDP drops. So the countries economy grows, but your share of it gets less ! Ano

A few years back my old bitch Delta caught a call duck that was hanging around my ducks at the allotment. It was unhurt so I clipped its wings and put it in the duck pen. It lays a couple of clutches each spring but has never shown any sign of going broody….. up till now ! She disappeared and I thought she was gone , but she had got under the fence and made a nest in between the pallet fence and was sitting on 7 eggs. I took a chance on putting 3 Irish Hennie game eggs under her aswell and first chick showed itself today, Hopefully the rest will hatch and reach maturity!

It’s good to go hunting in places where you’re not looking over your shoulder all the time ! Youre right, of course, it’s getting far to hot for daytime coursing now, with the draconian punishments, which is why I do far more lamping than daytime now, but there is something special about seeing a running dog behind a hare, roe or fox daytime .
