    I was pals with Lee Evans, the double Olympic Champion and 400 metres world record holder. He was , alongside with Tommy Smith and John Carlos, part of the civil rights protests at the ‘68 Mexico Olympics. I had his 50th birthday party at my house. Going farther back, I was pals with Jimmy Nail when we were mods and swapped Lambretta’s for a while. My family get a few mentions in his book and tv shows Met a lot of sportsmen and celebrities, mainly because of working for an airline. Cheers.

    Totally unsuitable for the UK, but I’ve always liked the hounds, like the blue ticks, black mouth curs, coon hounds, etc. Seen one or two in Australia and the US but sadly never got to see them work. Cheers.

    I’m neither a Tory or a closet Tory. I despise Labour, Tory and Lib Dem equally. It just amuses me that you use copy and paste articles quoting far left lunatics to justify your rather sad hatred of the Tory’s when they are all as bad as each other ! I also find it strange that if someone doesn’t support the policies of the left, they are automatically labelled a Tory . At the upcoming council elections, I’ll be voting Reform Party, if they aren’t standing a candidate, I’ll vote for an independent who’s views most fit my views . Cheers.

    Id say it was a result of left wing liberal policies that has seen six million illegal immigrants cross the southern border, the liberalisation of drug use, the breakdown of law and order, the lefts loathing of the white working class, the lefts support of any minority above supporting the silent majority, not corruption.     Someone said recently the the US was the most corrupt place on earth. Well, they most probably haven't been to Egypt, or most places in the Middle East !     Twice last century, the west made the wrong decisions; Patton wanted to defeat the Soviets at the end of WW2 when he had al the forces in theatre. MacArthur wanted to nuke the Chinese during the Korean war. Both requests blocked by politicians. Just my opinion, of course. Cheers.

    Saudi has ALLWAYS bought REFINED oil products, petrol, diesel, etc, from around the world, including from Russia. There’s a reason for this, Saudi exports around a quarter of the worlds crude oil, but has little or no refining capacity, so re- imports some of the refined crude oil it exports , which it uses internally and also exports. Its allways struck me as crazy, why not use some of their mega wealth to increase refining capacity ? I can’t answer that as it’s way, way above my understanding of economics and international relationships. Saudi is buying a lot more Russian refine

    To be honest, even if there is the minutest threat of an event that may end my life, I’d rather we we were prepared for it ! Not much chance of avoiding a nuclear conflagration, but might be handy in event of some catastrophic weather event. Not that it would make much difference to me; I’ve got the alert turned off !     There was someone on, surprisingly, Sky News that completely debunked the assertion that Brexit is to blame for food inflation in the UK. The UK is around mid table, and Germany has higher food inflation than the UK. Its easy to find a report to suit any narrative, far harder to find, (and for some to take), the truth ! Cheers.
