  1. As good as he’s ever played ! Cheers.
  2. He offered to employ Tomo on either a wage or “all you can eat”. Tomo accepted the latter and bankrupted Ken ! If only he had asked, I could have warned him ! Cheers.
  3. The Iranian guy tried to take the piss out of O’Sullivan by smashing the balls all over the table at the break-off, like O’Sullivan did to him at the German Open, but Ronnie is the best player ever, and it worked for him, it didn’t for Hossein and Ronnie is punishing him ! Can he win his 8th World title ? I wouldn’t bet against him …… Cheers.
  4. To be honest, even if there is the minutest threat of an event that may end my life, I’d rather we we were prepared for it ! Not much chance of avoiding a nuclear conflagration, but might be handy in event of some catastrophic weather event. Not that it would make much difference to me; I’ve got the alert turned off ! The missus will let me know if owt’s up, she usually does ! Cheers.
  5. There was someone on, surprisingly, Sky News that completely debunked the assertion that Brexit is to blame for food inflation in the UK. The UK is around mid table, and Germany has higher food inflation than the UK. Its easy to find a report to suit any narrative, far harder to find, (and for some to take), the truth ! Cheers.
  6. Was Brexit to blame for every other country in Europe having rampant food inflation aswell ? EU food inflation map shows how well-off Britons are in the supermarkets | World | News | Express.co.uk WWW.EXPRESS.CO.UK Food price inflation in the UK began to fall in January, but the situation in the EU couldn't be more different. Cheers.
  7. Isn't it a pet that regularly escapes, according to the neighbors ? Cheers.
  8. If it’s an iPhone, go to notifications, scroll to the bottom and just click to disable alerts, there’s two of them, not sure which one disables this nonsense, I just disabled both of them Did this weeks ago and they are still disabled……perhaps I’m not interesting enough to be on five or sixe’s watch list….. Cheers.
  9. Why oh why couldn’t he have climbed on the pool table in my local pub on a Saturday night ???? Cheers.
  10. Breaking news; two Just Stop Oil protesters invaded the Snooker World Championship and jumped on the tables of two first round games; one managed to cover the table with orange powder. Cheers.
  11. My nephew has one of those gizmo’s, pays £45 per year. Gets Sky, BT, etc, movies, box sets. Cheers.
  12. Ahh, I've got it !!! You're after the part of "Genial Harry Grout" in the remake of "Porrige" !!!. Cheers.
  13. Just disable it if you don’t want it…..it’s easy enough ! Cheets.
  14. I may be mistaken, and if I am I apologise, but I thought Paulus was a “brylcreem boy “ ? Cheers.
  15. Shithouses on the course, trying to glue themselves to the fences…….let them, and go ahead with the race . Race delayed ! Cheers.
  16. Are you two auditioning for some new Guy Ritchie movie ? “No Bangers & Mash In Armely…..Only Porridge ”, or maybe “Snatch’d In’t ‘Ull”. PMSL ! Cheers.
  17. No, mate, opposite end of the country to me. The Border & Coquetdale Coursing Club, (Greyhounds ), was on my doorstep and I attended their meets. Cheers.
  18. The Whippet Coursing Club ran pedigree whippets under rules mainly around east anglia; whippet coursing WWW.MOONLAKE.CO.UK .
  19. If there’s such a thing as reincarnation, you’ll come back as a whippet ! LOL ! Cheers.
  20. On the odd occasion I get I deer, I like to take the kidneys, liver, heart, add some black pudding, and make an “Umble Pie” Probably has less offal in it than those burgers you’re so fond of ! PMSL ! Cheers.
  21. Indeed a know the area extremely well, though not the story. I drive past Bolam about three times a week in the season on my way to Scots gap area where I used to beat for a shoot and where I do a lot of hunting. Many years ago, we used to enter Terrier pups in the artificial earths they had around Bolam lake. Incidentally, the greatest Waterloo Cup dog, Fullerton, was bred, raised and trained at a farm in the Bolam area, an area still excellent for testing a dog ! Here's.
  22. You make a compelling case, so thanks! But I'm still not convinced about the government covering up the existence of big cats. If, say, a child were killed by a wild big cat, heaven forbid, and a whistle blower provided positive proof that the government had been covering up their existence, the repercussions would be far greater than paying compensation to farmers, it could result in bringing the government down. But, as I say, I'm not convinced there are big cats in the wild in the UK , but I keep an open mind. Thanks for the reply. Cheers.
  23. I haven't really contributed to this thread as no matter what side you're on, you'll be attacked or mocked, and I don't think that's the way to conduct a debate. I don't think there are breeding big cats in the UK, maybe the odd escapee or release, but I keep an open mind. What I can't understand is why the Government would want to hide the fact that there ARE big cats in the UK ? What have they got to gain from it ? Nothing, as far as I can see, but an awful lot to lose if a whistle blower revealed proof that the Government IS suppressing information about big cats ! Id li
