My eight year old grandson attends an International School in the Middle East, if a teacher attempted to brainwash the kids with this "trans" nonsense, it would be a race between the authorities and the parents as to who removed the teacher from the premises first ! Cheers.

Pattaya become very commercialised years back. I much preferred it when Beach road was just drinking shacks and street food, not Ridleys Believe it or Not and Macdonalds. Last few times me or the missus have been travelling back from the Antipodes, we've arranged the stop overs to be Bali or Singapore. Cheers.

You can get any food you like mate; one of my favourite places to eat in Pattaya was a German bar.........pork chops and fried potato. Cheers.

We don’t have a Presidential system, we don’t vote for a Prime Minister. We vote for an MP, the party with the most MP’s form a government and they then appoint a Cabinet headed by a Prime Minister. Sunak was voted in by his constituency, The Conservative Party then made him Prime Minister. That’s the way it works in this country. Imperfect ? Of course ! But as Churchill said; “democracy is the least bad form of governance”. Cheers.

Russia and China are buying up influence and control in South America, Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Far East, South East Asia, Russia is complicit in the attempted coup in Sudan, and in Yemen, hoping for a naval base on the Red Sea, they’ve invaded Crimea, Georgia, Chechnya and other central Asian countries, so let’s not say “West bad; East good”. It was known in the 19th century as “the great game” involving Britain and Russia, and has been going on ever since. You can choose between two very imperfect systems: The Democratic West, where you at least have a vote on who is

The Mackem is a man of mystery…..no one knows his abode or where he will appear next in his search for gastronomical excellency. He is fluent in Tagalog, Pashtun, Thai and the dialects of the Kush. Its only people like me who can recognise the subtle inflection of the Sunderland dialect that could betray his existence ! But as Brothers of the Craft we are sworn to secrecy……. On pain of excommunication. Cheers.

Yeah, it’s barren up here mate ! Pointless you, or anyone else coming up here for a run, better off staying where you are or heading south…….. Cheers.

While we are on the subject of deer in Northumberland, have you lads seen any muntjac ? Some years ago I was in the Black Cock pub at the foot of Kielder dam and got talking to some ‘keepers, they said muntjac had been introduced to Kielder forest, and I saw one running past the log cabin I was renting during a four day fishing trip. Also saw one in the lamp nearer home across the motorway from Horsley. Also saw one dead on the side of the A69 near Wallbottle. But I’ve lamped and daywalked all that area for many years, and they were my only sightings. I know they are as

Just did a bit of quick research and there’s fallow around the Coquetdale holiday park, I’d guess these are descendants of the escapees from the old ladies place. Cheers.
-
Anyone know if there's any fallow still around in Northumberland that escaped from the deer park that old woman had near Rothbury ? Ive never seen any. Cheers.

Tramp, as in paraffin lamp . Cheers.

If you want deer Gosforth Park is on the doorstep, one of the biggest roe population in England. To be honest, I don’t know anyone in Longbenton with lurchers now, my brother still has one, but I got him a Terkel and he’s more into ferreting. Cheers.

He’s a pet in the Rising Sun Country Park. Me and LDR first saw him about 14 years ago when lamping the area. He’s tame. He can’t go anywhere, the park is now surrounded by housing developments. It used to be a great place for hares, around the pit heap, long since completely landscaped. The Rising Sun Whippet track is still there, as is the Barking Dog Pub. We used to walk from the Longbenton area to the track with our whippets and run a few hares there and back in the 60’s. Cheers.

All three of Williams kids are in front of Harry. It would have been just George and Louis, but the Queen changed the law on primogeniture so now Charlotte is also in front of Harry. Cheers.

Pure greyhound bitch
chartpolski replied to thefensarefarbutistillgo's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Both my last first cross deer/greys had the same sire line deerhounds, but Lima was out of a racing bred greyhound bitch, a litter sister to Westmead Hawk, and Nancy is out of an Irish coursing greyhound bitch, sired by the Irish coursing champion Mafi Magic. They are very similar, in conformation and running style, if anything, Nancy, the coursing bred bitch, is quicker off the mark, not sure about stamina yet; Lima had very good stamina, Nancy is still young. Deer/greys usually throw true to type in temperament but Lima was very laid back, whereas Nancy can be a bit flighty, like a -
He is a bit slow though ! I remember a group of celebrities being asked what they would do if they were invisible, They said things like being a fly on the wall at places like a government cabinet meeting, etc. Beardsley said he would stand next to traffic lights and keep pressing the buttons ! He got into serious trouble as a youth coach at Newcastle when he had them at a jungle gym and said to the black lads, “ come on, you lot should be great at this “ ! I don’t think he has got a racist bone in his body, he just didn’t understand how offensive the comment was, he

Lived in the same street as Beardsley when we were younger. He always was a mile ahead of the rest in skill as a kid. I saw him in a Marie Currie hospice a couple of years ago, he was handing out kit, having selfies and chatting with the terminally ill, I asked a nurse if it was a one off, she said no, he was a regular. “Beauty is only skin deep”, eh? Cheers.

I thought they were booing the ref for changing his decision to award Newcastle a penalty when VAR made him change that decision . Cheers.

We've got friends coming up from Yorkshire to watch the coronation on the television with my wife. I hope the weather is nice, as I'll be at the allotment and out with the dogs....... Cheers.

Then my job will be done. I can then retire to the beer tent and live off my totally unwarranted reputation ! Cheers. -

I’m mortified at getting the spelling wrong by one letter……..but as Mohammad said “only God is perfect”, so I shouldn’t beat myself up about it too much ! Cheers. -
