    That’s a very good point ! I’ve seen it with non-ped racing whippets over the last fifty odd years. They used to be more “heavily boned” and had better feet…….now they are incredibly faster, but “break” far easier. Cheers.

    I’m not disagreeing or arguing with you, Scotty, I’m just looking at things from all perspectives. Its like some people think you must be a Tory if you dislike Labour, they don’t seem to understand that it’s possible to dislike ALL political parties. The West are no angels, I understand that, but if I have to chose between the lesser of two evils, the west or the east, I know which side I’d rather be on.     Just to give a little perspective and even handedness, the U S and Saudi are supporting the democratically elected government of Yemen in their war against the Houthi who are supported by Iran and Russia in trying to overthrow the government and install an unelected, undemocratic government. Yes, the Americans , and the British, recruited Nazi scientists at the end of ww2, if they hadn’t, the Russians would have, and stole a march on the west in rocket and nuclear technology.     Bird ‘flu ? Or is it what has always been known as “pigeon fanciers lung”. Yes, it’s a real respiratory disease , usually suffered by people who spend a lot of time in the proximity of birds. Its just been on the news about bird ‘flu, the two people who had it have now recovered and it says there is no evidence of human to human transmission. Cheers.

    My eight year old grandson attends an International School in the Middle East, if a teacher attempted to brainwash the kids with this "trans" nonsense, it would be a race between the authorities and the parents as to who removed the teacher from the premises first ! Cheers.

    Pattaya become very commercialised years back. I much preferred it when Beach road was just drinking shacks and street food, not Ridleys Believe it or Not and Macdonalds. Last few times me or the missus have been travelling back from the Antipodes, we've arranged the stop overs to be Bali or Singapore. Cheers.

    We don’t have a Presidential system, we don’t vote for a Prime Minister. We vote for an MP, the party with the most MP’s form a government and they then appoint a Cabinet headed by a Prime Minister. Sunak was voted in by his constituency, The Conservative Party then made him Prime Minister. That’s the way it works in this country. Imperfect ? Of course ! But as Churchill said; “democracy is the least bad form of governance”. Cheers.
