Well, either way, you can’t go far wrong Mark. Got it for nowt and if it shoots where you’re pointing it that’s great. If not you can probably swap it for something else similar. Not many seem to want old sbs guns which is better for us that do.? I’ve got a couple of ugartechea’s, not worth much money but I like ‘em and they work for me. One thing I do know, if I spent fifty grand on a new shotgun I wouldn’t shoot any better with it?

Nothing wrong with that at 65 yards vm. As for hw100, were they no good in that rifle and how low was low power?

Hmm, that’s surprising given the calibre’s flat shooting ability and terminal effect. I’ve been thinking about a .204 myself for a while now, but if that’s the case, maybe not??

Well, I remember one of my local rfd’s having blue/purple (as well as red) tipped hornady hmr in stock probably around 2007-2009 ish? When they’d gone the hornady’s that they ordered were all red tipped after that.

I believe they were originally produced for eley to load as hm2, but when eley stopped production of hm2 the surplus were used up for hmr loading.

Yerr, I’ve been guilty of that myself. Been stopping myself from buying an fx crown for the last couple of years. Don’t need one,got loads of air rifles already, it’s just.............? ???

Yerr, that’s what I was thinking. Probably best with a pre-charged, running at about 30-40ft lbs would be good. They will knock rabbits over out to eighty yards plus.
