  1. I agree, both about having to spend on a new relatively expensive airgun to get it right. Also, that the huntsman looks and feels great. Some of them have beautiful wood as well, but........it’s a gaystate??
  2. ..............anyway, here’s part of another one of Tony’s electronic rifles. I wonder if it still works.....? ?
  3. First squirrel in a good while, I think I must have got their numbers down in this area?
  4. Interesting, hopefully they will work at 12ft lbs and I also hope that all their r&d and investment isn’t going to be a waste of time and money. Well see what HSE come up with?
  5. At least it looks like, in the proposals, they could (just maybe?) recognise that banning small calibre lead bullets might not be practical (for the time being).....?
  6. In my hw100ks they aren’t as accurate as the heavies, but more accurate than the 13 grain monsters strangely.
  7. I can see where you’re coming from, and I agree about common sense or possibly lack of. I don’t think it’s about banning shooting though, it’s happening in America as well, and I don’t think the Americans would be banning lead ammunition in a bid to ban shooting.
  8. I think it will be a long time before lead airgun pellets are banned. Likewise .22 rimfire until a viable accurate subsonic alternative is available in both quantity and cost. Even non-toxic smallbore shotgun cartridges would appear to be a long way off..........I’m sure that there will need to be certain exemptions, for the time being anyway.
  9. Yerr, why do you think his trousers are hanging up on the pallet? ?
  10. CCI’s all seem to have gone up a fair amount. I generally favour European rimfire ammo for consistency though. Bought a few mixed .22’s last week, cost me £42?. The first stingers I’ve bought in years, only bought them to see how they do in the cz 511 semi-auto. As it turns out, it quite likes them, although they shot about three inches higher than subs at 60 yards...
  11. Depends how much you want to spend Adam, HW99S is a sound buy for the money.
  12. Thanks Comanche, sent me this pistol free of charge. You are a gent sir...??
  13. Yerr, shame we can’t use fenns to target stoats any more? Shovel Leaner had a good set up for squirrels with four entrances and four fenn traps and caught multiples in that. I was thinking of copying his design but haven’t got around to it yet. To be honest though, I much prefer to shoot squirrels as I like the sport they offer?
  14. Well I’ve not done too well with the Larsens so far this year. Only a few of each crows and magpies and a badger pulled a hole in the wire twice trying to get at the call birds food on one trap, and released my only crow. As for fenns, I’m getting plenty of rats. As there’s nothing in the pheasant feeders at the moment it’s just a matter of setting them where the runs are and a bit of wheat sprinkled inside the tunnel draws a few in as well.
  15. Especially for you Phil ???
  16. Not seeing many squirrels at the moment but weasels keep coming, had quite a few this year.
  17. Agreed, I bought some federal small rifle primers last week at £60/1000 and they’d gone up from £46 previously, yet other shops are at £90-£100/1000 so something isn’t quite right ?
  18. True in most cases about the price going up SD, I can still get SK’s cheap and it’s good ammo. The hv’s in particular for less than £3:00 a 50 box, but for how long......?
  19. Be telling us you had one eye shut next......?
  20. Does that mean I can’t come round now? ?
