  1. Yerr, load of old junk…… but he’s not daft, that heavy old stuff makes more at the scrappy…..?
  2. If he delivers Gav will have ‘em….?
  3. I can still get hmr at £14:50 a box fairly locally, but when they’re gone the new stock will be a lot more expensive I reckon. Every time new stock comes in it’s gone up again.
  4. If you were closer I’d probably have a brick.
  5. Just seen some hmr’s back in stock at £26:99 for 50……..?
  6. Interesting, how does it compare to the hw99 SD?
  7. Looks like fun Phil ? Crop protection, a thousand ?cabbages? can’t be wrong……..?
  8. But ‘technically’ shooting a magpie will be protecting the thrushes and sparrows, and any other birds on the red or amber list that likely frequent and/or nest in the garden.
  9. Sure you can change the seals yourself, but first check that the trigger housing isn’t cracked before looking at seals, they are prone to cracks and can leak through the crack.
  10. Is that ‘wet’ lettuce patrol?? …..anyway, good result Ian ??
  11. Yerr, they look a good bit of fun they do??
  12. Is it still cocked Ben? Does it have auto safety and if so, has the safety catch stuck in the safe position? It might be worth taking the stock off and having a look if the trigger axis pin has come out at one end allowing the trigger to float and not engage with the sear. If there’s nothing obvious, I’d take it back to the shop if you’ve only just bought it.
  13. hmr has never been the most useful of calibres for me, and I can reload .22 hornet cheaper so it doesn’t get used much. I have two .22’s and use them both ten times more than hmr.
  14. Yerr, the hmr’s are creeping up, I can still get v-max for £15 but haven’t bought any for ages. As for .22’s, the club target stuff is usually cheaper and more consistent. Head shot rabbits and squirrels don’t know the difference. I believe the Norma’s are rws subs in a different box, if so, they should be good. Let us know how you get on with them.?
  15. yerr, if there’s not many of them about I’d leave them alone.
  16. They seem as common as magpies here. I shoot them (to protect endangered woodland birds) when the opportunity arises, they’re serious nest raiders.
  17. Yerr, 5.5 now, not like the old meteors and airsporters etc...
  18. The ability to fine tune makes the fac impact one of the best fac airguns in my opinion. I run different pellets and slugs at their optimum speed and it’s surprising what difference it makes to the accuracy ?
  19. I think those will be jsb’s in a different tin.
  20. Guitars (too noisy) motorcycles (too dangerous AND too noisy) then I’ll have to think of something else to do. I wonder if they’ll ban shagging due to the population being too high and therefore threatening the environment? ?
  21. If it’s for your pal, tell him to have a look at an hw99s, I just don’t see anything in the same league for the money.
  22. Loving the avatar Si, good to know it’s not just me that has a pal who phones at stupid o’clock. He phoned me at 4 o’clock in the morning to ask me if I’d been foxing and then at half past five to tell me he’d caught a magpie.....? ?twot
  23. These are at livens, Burton on Trent. They’re in boxes of 200 but they will split them into 50’s if that’s what you want.?
  24. Cripes, i though stuff was supposed to be cheaper up north. They’re £72/200 here.
