  1. Having a good trigger is paramount. I will fiddle with a trigger for months until I'm happy.
  2. Not me bro, give me a nudge when they come out with a .25" version.
  3. What you wholloped them with? I was out too, got busted....twice!
  4. 200 yds is not out the way for 22 but it's the wind more than drop that will mess it up for you. Half decent target ammo shows up hunting ammo at those distances.
  5. .....this morning was a flop. Nowt doing then from nowhere came the flood. Soaked from head to foot. Fortunately I had some wool on so didn't get cold. Got back home and it brightened up so thought I would go and check the barley the farmer hasn't been able to get in yet. WOW, covered in woodies! Had a good session with hatistani which incidentally is fussy about feeding on 67mm cases but behaved today on fiocchi pigeon loads. Of which are very spready through the half choke! I was struggling with them so shot into a flash of rain water and was amazed how wide the spread was, like a
  6. Will take a snap later mate. I was plinking at 200 yards myself yesterday, off hand and I would'na of wanted to be a rabbit down there!
  7. Apparently the red box is from November 1975! Amazingly it is as good as the day it was made. Accurate and very powerful...in fact it shows today's ammo as being anemic! It's nice to have my suspicions confirmed how I remembered wmr many years ago compared to today's ammo choices!
  8. Good question. Not sure, the bullets in the yellow box have exposed lead copper washed, the red box does not.
  9. Stumbled on some old ammo for my WMR today. Old Winchester SP HP. Any ideas of age? I'm thinking 80-90's
  10. The T3 when it came out was and still is a game changer. In my opinion.
  11. That's a good group at that distance. I got some CCI recently to try and they are good. I'll be getting some more.
  12. Phoooarr. They are the ones mate. I have not seen them for years. Thanks for sharing ?
  13. Have been using Fiocchi ,rws and CCI. Winchester are good too. If you like quiet maybe the 42 GRN Winchester's may work. Avoid Norma, it's rws rejects bin stuff!
  14. Strange that. I stopped buying Eley years ago!
  15. Chuffin Eck lad! That's some cat food. Did any cats turn up? Good on ya. What's this week you mention?
  16. All I can recommend is that next time you get a fox stav that you remove your coat and lay it out on the ground. Next you remove the fox's bladder and then dribble its contents on your coat. No more wind issues.
  17. Took a walk with the 410. Sometimes I always think I'm going to be under gunned when I venture out with a 410 but always have fun. Three squirrels, two mini crows and two pigeon. Oh and a rabbit. The sad part was on the way I phoned an old friend who run Trent Firearms who was suffering with cancer only to be told he passed away on Wednesday. He was a straight talker, he either took to you or not. I bought lots of rifles off him and he was a big help with reloading. Rest in peace Steve. SD.
  18. Absolutely. Done that, been there and got the t shirt ?
  19. Got any pictures of your dog? I love whippet crosses.
