  1. Can't watch films me, they wind me up. They usually are too violent. Pornographic. Stupid. Include homosexuals. Would rather watch kids films and they have enough of a hidden agenda!
  2. Needed some gloves on really, the birds were sometimes seeing my hands moving and were being scared before I could proper scare them!
  3. There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing! ? Atb Dave.
  4. Well yes but I can keep scaring them as it don't over scare them ?
  5. I had a chance of getting an old but very tidy hushpower today on a Pedretti action. The dealer even let me try it around the back as I am very particular about fit and point of impact. It was spot on. Lousy weather wasn't going to stop me scaring some pigeons so I dug out the old full length cattleman and set to. Slightly louder than the 410 but still in no way intrusive I pulled some decent shots off. Built between 87&90 with very little rust and a few dings in the wood. It's a folder unfortunately but it's also a bargain that I got it for. While there I picked an old box
  6. Getting things to pee on me ( usually from a great height) is quite easy, it's like some kind of gift I have. In fact, there is often a queue of candidates.
  7. That's probably just out of range of the pong mate ?. Joking aside. When I deer stalked I use to dribble their urine on my coat. It got me some deer that did and some big woodland reds. You know how packham sniffs snake butt....well I rub fox's butt on my coat, ha, that's one up on that idiot ?
  8. I can smell you from here Dave but I'm good with it ?
  9. Yep, bath night is Sunday night, when I'm done hunting for the weekend. The more I smell like a badger the better before Sunday night!
  10. Not totally. If they can't sky line you and you stay in the shadows they may not notice you. Once they have seen you yes, they will keep track of you or slip away. Keep a low profile and they will or can miss you.
  11. Personally I am not a fan of 243! I know I know, it's good but in the 6mm class I would of preferred the 6mm Remington to of done better. Based on a Mauser case and with an instant 200fps+ over the Winchester it was better but with little extra demands on powder. Get the Remington Acley improved and it gets very interesting!
  12. I stopped going years ago but went a few years ago with tomsmurf on here and it was very disappointing.
  13. Ho, how tall and heavy is he. ? Measure the inside of his fore arm to his trigger finger.
  14. What's the ground like? Get much foot rot? Do you have plenty of room to rotate them on? They are missing you buddy ?
  15. Ah, that's exactly what I was thinking of, excellent ?
  16. Thought so Dave. I'm only looking for/considering an alternative method to how I approach fox's observed in the field. I'm thinking ahead and possibly using a shotgun more often. So a called in but hesitant wise old fox won't be subject to bright light. So may just come in. I understand shooting them at long range by my siblings but I don't do that anymore ?
  17. Ok, think I understand. So is a normal IR led as bright as my red led torch ?
  18. Stuff that, my eyes are failing without any help from a laser! Covert! I fully intend to give a fox the biggest shock of its life! Surely a dull red IR emitter is less intrusive than a bright normal light? I may be accused of over simplifying things buddy but.......
  19. Just get a hw99 under the limit. No need for a fancy blow up dolly.
