  1. I remember walking along the Rd after day ferreting ,coursing with catch over me shoulder and juckel by me side and no one blink a eye lid or maybe get asked for a rabbit or two by passes by but not so today ,you get called all sorts and boys in blue turn up for a few rabbits ,the world as changed for the worse and like you say folk getting killed over rubbish they stick up there arm or nose and dealers selling death openly on our streets and getting away with it but lads in blue soon turn up to a lad working his dog and harming no one .
  2. I don't think its down to Jill jabs and jills do loose hair in area it was given and don't see how Jill jab could harm them They might have picked up a virus ,they can catch stuff like distemper from dogs and get colds from humans If you keep ferrets and they start to look unwell its best to get them to vets as soon as possible as they go down hill rapid,
  3. Like you have said respect to the man and you can clearly see Joe put the time and effort in from the dog being a pup unlike those that get pups and just expect them to excel with no time put in !!!
  4. Got a nail grinder and soon as its turned on my lot bolt for the door . If a dog don't like getting nails clipped karnt see them liking grinder but you can shape the nails better but that's if you get near them lol
  5. Thats how I do one of mine ,shed have yer if she wasn't muzzled and tied as she hates her nails being touched but its got to be done as Rd work ain't anufe .they only peed of until its over
  6. I got a old none ped here who took hare ,fox but I'd never say he was a hare ,fox dog as he was used on rabbits mostly and it was while out rabbiting he took them ,he put an end to few hares but not what you call long runs as no law given ,but to me thats a pot filler
  7. I'm happy with it and plenty of room for them to exercise, was going to buy a 6 ft hutch but decided to give making one a go and for once it turned out ok as I got to be worse diy man going lol
  8. Its got to be a phantom like when they have Jill jab they think they in kit but not. I give her another week and pop her vets .
  9. I was going to have a pup out of brindle sam but me uncul gifted me a dog
  10. Great Post this ,me great uncul always had herders for rabbiting and poaching and always said if you walking along a country lane no one blinks I eye lid if you got a collie by ya side not so a lurcher ,he worked long hard shifts down the pit and poached to put food on the table and few Bob for beer money
  11. I got a Jill here thats ten yr old and still going strong ,I took her vets last year for Jill jab and vet said she looked a yearling lol what I'd like to know is when do they stop having season as she's been on her own last few months but looks like she having phantom pregnancy, getting fat and teets look bluey .anyone else old jills done this ? Cage is one i made out of free wood and 9 feet long ,quiet pleased with it as I'm rubbish at making stuff lol
  12. Thats what the fella in raw feed shop said to his customers, he told them no need for wormers as it clears them out and no need to worm a dog at all lol Never herd so much rubbish ,he even tells customers his feed ok to feed frozen if not got time to defrost it .crazy but some believe these kind of fools that just want your ££££ with no thought of your poor pooch getting sick because of his greed .
  13. I had some of him last week ,10/10 So thanks buddy
  14. Bitch I got came into season and she was all flirty with me old whippet dog but wouldn't let the stud we planned to use anywhere near her ,she just sat down as if to say no chance mate lol but we left them in kennel for day so just waiting to see if he got the job done . Shed have stood for me whippet no problem ,some gals are just fussy .
  15. Looks nice type ,just don't put it to another merl as you get blind pups . If you enjoy each others company thats all that matters at end of the day .
  16. I nearly got a pup bred this way last yr ,lad was gifting her to me as well but not got room until old dog gone but this is the x I get next time .
  17. It wouldn't take long to get a working line going if the lads who got bedys bred best to best and let them go to work homes and not just see £££££ they still some nice looking bedys about .
  18. You it nail on the head ,it wouldn't take long to get working line if lads got together and bred the best to best as they still some cracking looking Bedlingtons about ,shame the show and work folk karnt get it together as they soon get the Bedlington back to how they should be .
  19. Nice healthy looking pups and all very best in getting good homes
  20. I agree most Bedlington terriers bred today are being bred for £££ and not to better a type "worker to worker " I had a look on bushing page and see few pics of your dogs and they look nice type .
  21. Nice looking pups ? Wish you all the very best finding good 4ever homes and no doubt one you keep give you many years of companionship .
  22. Me brother worked two brindle bitches in 80s and they both demon on fox and took plenty of hares and good rabbit dogs , they work as good as any lurcher as long as you bring them on like one .
  23. Over last couple yrs Muntjac and cwd are seen most days local ,can get a bit awkward when dog walkers see my scruffy lot behind one .
  24. Not many rabbits but plenty of hares local , like aussie whip says they seem to be filling a niche .
