    Always been a few bad apples in the cart and you can not just blame the youngsters as plenty older lads give the lurcher game a bad name ,driving across land they have no right to be on and smashing gates and stealing equipment and threats to land owners , I grew up around some good men and all poached to put food on table but they all had one thing in common they got on with it as quickly and quietly as possible and it wasn't something to brag about it was a nesserty not a hobby . Times have changed for the worse and soon they will ban all kinds of hunting with dogs ,

    I was offered 3 grand for my Bedlington greyhound bitch couple months ago ,my response was no amount of money will buy her ,!!! my dogs are workers but firstly they companions and part of the family. Some no good gets in the dog game today and to keep a dog for couple of yrs and get shot of it for ££££ well he needs shot

    In some types like terrier xs they can yip and its nothing to do with how they started ,bedy whippets and grey xs along with other types of terrier base lurchers will yip no matter how you enter them ,I have never rushed a pup and always do me best not to over run a youngster but it can happen ,I can live with the odd yip but screamers are no no ,watch Phil Lloyd's video with his old bedy lurcher it yips but still a good dog.     I got few nets and bits and bobs that he can have if he would like them ,I did offer them up to any one getting started but no takers so still in me shed ,so let me know and they all good nets not the cheap rubbish ?

    Nice pup ,good to see a youngster getting into it and I'm sure he'll have lots of fun with his new companion ? Not many like socks about who only wants good homes for pups ,most today are thinking of ££££ notes and nothing else . Atvb Mooch

    Like been said them prices are stupidly high but round my way they asking 1500 a jack Russell pup and I see whippets going at 3 grand , crazy prices and fools are paying it , I dont see dog prices going back to how they was anytime soon ,every time I go raw food shop they always folk with bull dog pups or another latest designer dog and first thing comes out there mouth is I'm going to breed it . I wouldn't dream of asking more than 200 for lurcher pup but I'd worie folk would buy them and sell them on so unless I have good lads/lass waiting for a pup i wouldn't be taking a litter

    Let the pup see you handing the ferret and let the pup sniff them while you hold them and once the pup not trying to mouth ferret put some food down and let them eat from same bowl , the pup will soon learn the ferrets are a no no as long as you set the rules from the start every thing should be OK

    A lot of breeders will tell you this dog that dog in the line just for £££ notes . Like all pedigree its only honest as man who wrote it . Its nothing new throwing names as plenty do it with all types , Most bedlingtons are Rillington or common bred lol no Bedlington alive is full or even half Rillington or common but they plenty pups being sold to those who know no better and its same with sal bred dogs just for £££ I never said pup he getting not what he says but I wouldn't put to much into a name just enjoy his pup and I wish him all the best with it

    Why bother with all that % rubbish and names as names mean f all when it comes down to it . You put the hard work in and reap the rewards simple as that .

    I've never gone out me way to take gingers and never will .if we don't eat it I don't waste me time ,if one gets up and me dog off slip then its fair game.
