  1. they will be all the better for it. we're the Bedlingtons of old only around 14/15 inches?
  2. he was quite a star in the 80's. hosker and spud in the shooting news. I am sure dales hunting lads will know. but I am sure it's been said he wasn't that sparkling.
  3. huge can of worms is opened when Bedlingtons are discussed. Good luck in your quest. I certainly wouldn't look for a bitch that's been banned for fighting, a dog doesn't have to be a fighter to be game, I would avoid that side of it.
  4. it's been like it a few years. I just carry half a dozen nets single Jill inside coat, turn in where dog marks it's mooching more than anything.
  5. Good write up and great early season session. 11 would be a bumper day for me as best you do around me is ones and twos but still enjoyable.
  6. always know when there's a rabbit about in our house, there's no battery in kitchen clock.
  7. vegan punk girls from Scotland? jock girls that don't like meat? give over
  8. I have spent a lifetime in your position pal. not say all but most farmers I have come across a funny breed so tight they only breathe in and are suspicious of everything. one even thought my little beddywhippet had been killing his sheep ?. found out later his bad practice had caused his sheep dying.
  9. sadly nothing changes mate?
  10. went from Ampleforth and around Byland Abbey. dog put a few rabbits up and a short run at a big rabbit. looked decent numbers. was greeted by a irate orchard owner ranting and raving (dog had just run a rabbit through his trees) thought I won't bother asking for permission. all in all good day, time out with Mrs, work for the little dog and a Yorkshire welcome from Mr orchard.
  11. going back on Friday. looking at walking round Ampleforth way? don't know area at all but it looks good. I like to get away from the beaten track.
  12. I take it you have a different approach when it comes to women ?
  13. it's a beautiful place I am going a few miles inland tomorrow. not here rabbiting but its always nice to put a few up with the dog
  14. at Filey for a few days with the Mrs and bought little dog with me. walking the cliffs not seen a single rabbit or even a Todd. been to Robin Hood's Bay and whitby today and not a single one knocked over either it has surprised me.
  15. don't know where you are mate, but talking to a chap who's been at Melton recently and told me they are fetching daft prices people are wanting them.
  16. he must live somewhere upmarket. we are still bartering with carrots and a turnip here.
  17. I don't think you can beat good quality shavings.
  18. sadly what's new. same scenario year after year
  19. wait for the dog to mark a small sett, 2 or 3 holes ideal so you know its occupied. 5 months onwards I would say is fine. though a chap not in here now had a few kits starting at 15 weeks last year and they where fine.
  20. Yes I do as well. he doesn't need to be exact on height either.
