  1. you say it doesn't sound many. that's top class in my book
  2. I have always bought in but will breed for my next pup. always had half cross but the next one will be three quarter cross. you see I don't lamp so I require dog's to be good in cover, reliably mark and be quick enough for short run rabbits and the outcross does this.
  3. I don't know that's what I am saying. I only keep little rabbit dogs and the outcross has always done it for me. plus I really don't see anything beating the Bedlington nose.
  4. as katchum says everyone wants different things from a dog. I have considered a straight whippet many times but always changed my mind and gone for the outcross. it depends what ground you work as well. I require a dog to work nettles, brambles etc. and still be quick enough for short runs.

  7. sounds my type of dog. I have no experience with whippets I only have whippet lurchers. bitch I have now is out of a non ped. when I put her to I don't know wether to use a ped or non ped.

  9. not many rabbits here either. a few roe, a good few hares. just back from east coast dog put a muntjac up first for me they are a weird looking fxxking thing.
  10. Nice one bird. you can't beat early evening mooch this weather. went about 8 last night saw 3 rabbits a fox and first time in ages a barn owl.
