  1. depends what you want it for. if you only want a pet, companion type dog then there is nothing wrong with pet sites online. not all of them are puppy farmers. there is genuine pet breeders out there. price won't be cheap but if its what you want then does it matter?
  2. she's 18 1/2 inches tts. your right about height hindering them. sometimes she gets unsighted due to tall cover. for sheer graft and keenness around cover and holes they suit me fine.
  3. you haven't seen the sheep farmers around here. I had one a few weeks ago ranting and raving about me breaking the law, dog not on lead, (no sheep near). claims had 3 sheep killed. also claimed he had camera footage of my dog running through his sheep. he declined to show me. I told him are you that thick I would entertain a dog that even looked at sheep.
  4. never fancied it but everyone I know that's been swears by how good it is. Mrs says they look slimey baxxtards but she used to say that about me.
  5. tell me about it. only started happening since a load of foreigners came a couple of years ago. someone told me to goto Turkey on holiday cos that's were the real fakes are sold??
  6. totally agree with you there mate. on a lesser note I had clothing nicked of my washing line last year strangely enough they didn't take my fxxxcking work clothes.
  7. there you go again anybody who wants to catch rabbits will empty your diesel tank and take a hilux and jcb bucket. wake up to the fact that it's the same cnuts that burgle houses and steal in towns are doing it to you in the countryside. Real dog lads and poachers won't cause any problems.
  8. got one here nearly knocked telly over when she saw a squirrel on screen. can be a pain at times but wouldn't want them any other way. I do like a mad keen dog?
  9. we are told to buy British. constantly told keep Britain farming back our farmers. ignore cheap imports. what happened to ignoring foreign coal imports, or keep Britain mining or back our coal industry? subsidising coal industry was seen as a crime yet subsidising farming seems exceptable.
  10. farming is as big a fiddle as any other industry. payed to rip hedges out. payed to plant hedges. payed to set aside, posh word for plant fxxck all. funding is full of subsidies.
  11. I think a bedlington x greyhound would give you options at just about everything. the hard part is getting a well bred one from the right stuff. I can't remember the last time I even saw one.
  12. she is a first cross beddywhippet. you are better with greyhound blood if you want a running dog. she is what I call a 25-30 yard dog. most of her work is bushing and marking but she Catches well when she gets a run at short distance. she suits me for what I do these days.
  13. Well the hunting life is pleased the great white hunter is safe?
  14. it's bad. going to be a long time before that's open again. chap on tv said teesdale had nothing and it's only a few miles away
  15. lol. just been watching on sky. Leyburn fire crew were being interviewed. are you anywhere near the bridge collapse at Grinton?
  16. watching it on news katch. I thought you was up Leyburn way. I don't think you will have problems getting your longnetting pegs in.
  17. not one for out of season but you have to exercise dog and keep her occupied. it's a lot of ground to cover for 1 dog. it has to work cover flush it's quarry then get out and catch it. this little dog seems to manage
  18. the ban has never meant much to me. I only really keep little rabbit dogs. I used to lamp and had dogs that could take a few hares lamping. they weren't hare dogs by any means. never had time for organised meets either. now dogs that can find there hare in the daytime, put it up and catch it on its own ground that is a thing of beauty and a true sport.
  19. he won't need a big freezer in the lakes it's fxxxcking dead.
  20. they seem to be year round hunters as well. look at recent posts big bags of rabbits then come September they can't understand why there is nothing about.
  21. you have got that bang on mate. you enjoy it but it's not the be all and end all like it was when you were younger. you seem to have more time and more patience age beats everything wether it's man or beast.
