    Good choice, I love my little T bolt mouse gun although it is no better than the cz .17 I’ve also got it is a bit posher, go for the 16” and put a slightly longer sound mod on it ( just to make it look better, dpt do a nice one for about £90 ) you won’t really notice the barrel flip on a .17hmr no matter the length, so you can’t blame that for any misses, also go for synthetic stock because they have a lovely little touch where another mag fits in the stock, as far as I know they do them in 16” and 22” I’ve never seen a 19”, when I got mine they only did it in 22” left handed so I had it cut d

    I decided tonight would be the night that I’d give the nitesite a go on the rabbits, so fitting it to the browning T bolt .17 I set off to some local fields with the intention of recording some shots, the first 5 shots were all missed but after a bit of messing about with the focus and zoom I soon worked it out, 9 was the bag once I got used to watching a screen on top of the scope and I think I managed to record them, all I need to do now is work out how to turn the laptop on, I think this could be a lot of fun on the rimfires, I have tried it on the .243 but the image quality isn’t very good

    I know what you mean with having to use two hands and it is quite bulky but the main thing I like about them is the binocular and using both eyes, they seem ideal for one spotting and one shooting

    I’m going to have to get a paper round Dave to save up for one, the xq38 binocular is still £2750, I’ve played with a couple of thermal spotters, but having them as a binocular in my opinion just works far better

    Well we covered a massive amount of ground last night, it’s certainly very different to up my way, with the harvest moon the going was tuff, with no cover on huge fields we found them very weary, we could pick them up with the thermal ( and what a bit of kit that is ) but trying to get them to come out in the open was a different matter, we managed a couple both well over 200 yards and then turned our attention to the hares for a game dealer order, running the thermal around the fields I couldn’t believe the amount of hares and muntjac it was like shooting fish in a barrel, in one field of ca

    Well I’ve made the trip down to Norfolk and just set out with robin and ric for a nights foxing on the flat lands, one down so far and the amount of hares are unbelievable, fingers crossed for a good night ?
