  1. Yes mate, all my rifles are tools to do a job and get treated as such, the vortex scopes also come with lifetime warranty, no need to fill a warranty form out, if there’s a problem just contact them and send them the scope if they can’t fix it they send you a new one, I don’t know any other manufacturer that does that
  2. Go for it, it’s whats on the inside that counts, about 7” inside in my case ??
  3. It comes down to money, I have a vortex viper HS-T 6-24x50 on my .243 and the quality of the glass is second to none, this scope will set you back around £600
  4. It’s a horrible thing to see and sometimes I’ve seen to often and I know you lads will look after your ewes and lambs no matter what and it should never have got to the point where you could of been on the wrong side of the law
  5. Although my opinion counts for nothing, I’d go for the CZ I’ve fired both and couldn’t get away with the howa, it really didn’t feel very well put together, this may have been the synthetic stock
  6. This one just covers crows at the minute, reading the release from NE each species will have its own licence and guide lines
  7. Your right Dave, I’ve posted it in the air rifle section and it’s in the rifle section ?
  8. NE have released a statement showing the order in which the new GL will be released, this is a pure pest control set of licenses, so they will definitely be worth a good read to make sure your shooting falls the right side of the law what is important is this is a GL so no need for an individual license, so at least I can carry on on the sheep farm if I’m needed

  10. What normally happens with them is they are presented to who is concerned with the outcome of the petition in this case the BBC, they also sometimes gain a lot of media attention, but at the end of the day it’s down to the BBC if they pay any attention to it
  11. I never used to like this tw*t but I’m warming to him, he’s definitely not on the side of wild justice, I watched an interview with him a couple of days ago and it maybe because he wants to be PM or maybe he doesn’t want to upset the farmers because we are coming out the EU ( maybe ) but he was talking a lot of sense
  12. Haha, she was nuts, if she was wild justices defence then I don’t think there’s to much to worry about, Avery and Packham aren’t even singing from the same song sheet, just let the people who work in the countryside look after it, it’s worked for decades
  13. You might of just missed it chap, did you put your clocks forward the other week ??
  14. Haha, hold your horses mate, they haven’t released the licenses yet, I’m betting they taste rank, we can’t even use them to bait foxes and if a fox won’t eat them I’m buggered if I would ?
  15. Nobody has even mentioned the taking of pigeons for food which I find odd, I’d do it as if I was picking wild mushrooms for the table but as you say do it with a frown on your face ?
  16. I hope people are listening to this, from what I can gather so far is they want to put a stop to sporting shooting, but if the GL says crop/livestock protection then carry on enjoying helping the farmers out even Avery made packham look like a tw*t, by saying the agreed on the management of the pest birds with the chap from the NFU And hanging crows off his gates just made me chuckle ?
  17. Welcome, you have joined at a Fun time ??
  18. That’s the old GL mate, the new ones will need to be the same or very similar, no farmer has time to do his own pest control so that’s why it needs to be a GL so the like of me and you can do it and it doesn’t tie farmers and keepers up in a load of red tape having to apply for cull licenses for individual animals and who they want to do this
  19. I would of thought people will just carry on as they are, there isn’t the resources to police this
  20. We will have to wait and see what happens all I know is that whatever is put in place needs to be under a GL it will be mayhem if you have to apply for a license
  21. Terryd has posted the email an email in the rifle section that is very similar to the one I received last night if you want a look at it ?
  22. To do it by the law the land owner still needs to apply for the personal pest control license
  23. Someone sent me Chris packham’s home address last night, if you would like to contact him to discuss the matter at length ? take a look at this topic in the air rifle section, I was sent an email last night and if it’s correct NE pulled the license for a good reason
  24. You better believe it, the little man never comes out on top ?
