  1. Nice shooting Bernard sausage, it’s nice to know there’s still some things you can legally shoot and eat ?
  2. It looks like I may of mislead you there, Ive just had a look and the new scope all seem to use the same coating, I was told when I bought mine the coating was different for use in low light, maybe they have updated the rang and changed to the higher quality lens, if that’s the case and it has got the multi coated lens I wouldn’t recommend it with the pard and I’d be tempted to look at the Nikon
  3. I’ll have a look at that mate, cheers, I’ll join just to have a look at what’s for sale, I stay out of the general forum on here, if I want to listen to people giving there pointless opinions on pointless sh*t nobody really has any interest in I’ll pop round and have a cup of tea with my old Mam and her mates ? they can talk sh*t for England ?
  4. I think it’s the coatings on the lens that are different, the scope that’s on my .243 works really well in low light, I think the cheaper vortex scopes don’t have the same coating on the lens so would work better with the pard
  5. I was wrong on that Dave it was a 4-16x50
  6. This is a little cracker, the glass isn’t as high quality as what’s in mine ( not coated the same ) so it should be ok with the pard, if you have the time go on uttings web site, the have a very big selection of scopes ?
  7. It up to you if you tell people how you spend your sundays ?
  8. What sites that on mate, I was looking on free-ads last night and someone is selling a hw95 for £150 with hawke scope but it has been rapped in camo tape and I would of thought the only reason you would do that is it’s a bit battered
  9. This is similar to the email I was sent, it seems to be getting sorted in an arse about way, it’s just a shame NE were aware of this before they pulled the GL and were not asked to do so
  10. Yes, I was wanting one for the .243, I didn’t get one in the end as the image wasn’t the clearest and I would of thought it would be worse in darkness, I’ve looked through one fitted to an MTC scope and the image was Chrystal clear
  11. Thanks for that, I’ll have to look a bit more into it, I suppose at least buying new you know what your getting
  12. It will be used for shooting ferrels and rats in the farm sheds, so it needs to be capable of that, I don’t want to spend a fortune, a couple of hundred quid at most,I looked at them and was shocked at the price of a new one, I didn’t pay that for my rimfires against the price of a springer and my .243 was cheaper than a pcp
  13. I like the look of the hw80 and the 99, I didn’t realise they were handed stock, I just assumed they would be ambidextrous, I shoot wonky lefty
  14. I’ve been looking on the ad sites and the likes and £150 is just a ruff spend guide, mainly I have no idea what I’m looking at, show me a .243 or .308 and I can hold my own, when I had air rifles it was all webley and Diana
  15. Well I’ve never owned an air rifle since I was in my teens that I used for rats, now I’m off to the shooting show in a couple of weeks and was thinking of picking one up, as there’s always loads there for sale, I was thinking about a second hand springer around the 150 quid mark, what I’d like to know is what should I be looking for and is there good rifles to be had at that price or am I wasting my time
  16. I’d offer Rishi the job, that man talks a lot of sense and is willing to listen to both sides
  17. Marian spain should be the first for the chop
  18. I’m just watching James Martin and he’s cooking wood pigeon, I hope he didn’t shoot them
  19. Now you come to mention it ?, I thought it was a bit odd when he told me to put the ball gag on
  20. I could tell you a story about a prostate examination that involved a German doctor with hands like shovels, but it would bring a tear to your eye, I know it did me ?
  21. I’ve just seen your post in the night vision section, if you are wanting to use a pard ad-on then you need a lower quality scope, the coating on the glass on the vortex gives you a hazier view than a cheaper glass, I know someone that uses the pard on a MTC scope and it works very well
  22. Yes mate, all my rifles are tools to do a job and get treated as such, the vortex scopes also come with lifetime warranty, no need to fill a warranty form out, if there’s a problem just contact them and send them the scope if they can’t fix it they send you a new one, I don’t know any other manufacturer that does that
  23. Go for it, it’s whats on the inside that counts, about 7” inside in my case ??
