There seems to be a Pub virtually opposite as well, ask there, they will know!
-
Yes, license and tags from the EA.

Is that Red or Green channel when you arrive back in the UK?!
-
Further to the thread A great day by the river, how far up the Thames (or any other river) have Cod been caught in the UK? Just curious, never thought about it before, certainly none made it to Reading (as far as I'm aware).

Seems they don't get the press they deserve these days, a great fish!

Can you believe it, woke up this morning to one on my kitchen floor, he must have somehow done a runner from my sink and fallen off the worktop, never happened before.. After the cooking session yesterday I don't know what to do with him, chucked him in the bucket and given him some food...do they make good pets?

Juncker is a self centered fool who is cacking himself at the thought of GB doing well and the dissolution of the EU which will inevitably follow!
-
He's worth $30-85,000,00 depending on whos figures you believe. He has the opportunity to still make plenty more, but I get the feeling we will see him on the Dole que in a few years!

If access is a problem they are a waste of time, (and most nests are well tucked away), even if the entire nest is in plain view few Homeowners will do the job properly! I have been called to deal with loads of nests after the owners tried!

Prone to ricochet by the looks of things if you took them both out with one!

Its a wasp, I can't see what type from the picture, it does look a bit discoloured. If the nest it not causing you a problem leave it, many have already reached maturity and "gone", yours will soon, its getting a bit late in the season, but I have dealt with them until late November before. The fertilized females will hibernate and create a nest next year, if its viable they are the Queen, they may nest in the same area again, but not in the same nest.

As Balaur said, be careful what you wish for. It will only be a matter of time and these are the Signal of course, very few of our native left now it seems as the signal has taken over (there are other invaders as well). They are an absolute pain, fishermen hate them and the Environment Agency want them gone, (a losing battle it seems)

Help me out please, friend of mine is looking for 12g or 20g Sub Sonic Non Toxic Cartridges. Does anyone know of a make/type please? Plan B, does/can anyone reload such a thing? Cheers

Must be 8-9 years ago I was coming back from a site with my lad down a narrow country lane, and this rabbit would just not get out of the way, I crawled along the road in the car and it simply ran down the road in front of us, it went on and on, in exasperation I eventually stopped the car, got out and chased it off the road. I had 20+ rabbit in the boot we had just shot....go figure!

They all count! Seems I have work to do at her Ladyships, last couple of weeks a grey keeps coming up to her Summer House French Doors and peers in, looks like a brick will be more appropriate than a gun!
-
How daft is life, all but ran over one in the car today, but not even shot at one this season!
-
Further to Mr Tea Pots thread on Crayfish Hour with bacon and string , which it seems I railroaded (I have apologized to him). Just a bit more, latest offering already dealt with, I tried it without purging, frankly they are not as bad as I expected but not quite as good...………………. Around 6.5kg in my sink just before cooking! About 80% of them after cooking!

There are loads of ways to approach this, the quickest and probably simplest and easiest to reverse is below. You can of course get all sorts of custom work done on the stock which could end up costing a fortune, or you could get lower mounts on your scope!? https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=rifle+cheek+piece&tag=mh0a9-21&index=aps&hvadid=80401819666986&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_6fq9rhlhov_e

Good stuff. I have 2 main sites for the Pheasant/Partridge, both like to hold off until 1 Nov! Get a handful in general Pest Control sites though.

Nothing better than personal contact/recommendation!

Deker replied to vizlauk's topic in General Airgun Discussion
The gun is worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it, and the obvious question is why are you selling it if its that good and replacing it with 2 others. As also mentioned, any upgrades are seldom truly reflected in the price! Start a bit high, you can always move a bit. Good luck! -
You need a decent scope to start with when dialing to make sure each click does what it is meant to, particularly as you need to dial back as well. Many cheaper scopes suffer a bit on the engineering side and dialing can be a bit hit and miss...literally! That is not to knock cheaper scopes, which can punch above their weight in lenses, but the obvious answer there is holdover. Each to their own but at conventional 12ft lb air rifle distances, and in the field, holdover will commonly be a better option, but you need to know your gun/pellets!

You can't really go wrong at £3 anyway! Cheers

Whats your approach to Poachers
Deker replied to Habtron's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
Odd thread and still only the 1 post from Habtron! -
Or wait till the next full moon and hope for a clear night! Do you have coloured filters for your lamp or a dimmer switch? To be honest I gave up on coloured filters years back (many still find them helpful), but I do find the dimmer switch particularly useful. I have torches, lamping kits and NV and they all get an outing, none is best, they just have different uses! As already mentioned, the fox can usually be trained quite quickly and being creatures of habit it doesn't usually take to long to get the better of them!
