I've got a couple of Stainless in bigger calibres, it's a long story and I never set out with than intention. I look after all my guns and treat them all the same, I'm more than happy with conventional blued, but each to their own!
-
Probably a few answers to that. Depends where they come from, if you purge or not and how you cook them, then I suppose what dressing you may put on them. Probably a bit milder version of shrimp/prawn/lobster, you can tell they don't really have the Sea influence! MR TEA POT may well have something to add to that, his come from a brook and they may be very different to mine!

I don't get this at all, the "facts" are flimsy and questionable!

Over to others for help then, mine went a while ago now after going back to BSA several times for leaking seals. -
A lot of mine come from Lakes syndicated for fishing, so its important to get as many out as possible. I think it was about 800kg that came out last year. I tend to have a mammoth cooking session when I do them, and then the fingers ache for a few days, their bodies aren't too bad but the claws can be a pain! If its hot and a few days away from the bin men arriving, the waste STINKS!
-
Definitely, mine come out of the Thames and some lakes fed by the Kennet, they need purging. I like the Crayfish but an awful lot of work for a small return. Edit......The salad plate was particularly pleasing as I grew all the veg and caught the Crayfish!

Has it got any air left in it? -
Nothing wrong with the Sako at all, but it will give you nothing more in the field than a CZ, and lighten your pocket a lot more. If you fancy one go for it, but seriously, don't expect anything more than the CZ offers!
-
I assume, because of the section this is for an Air Rifle. Some decent torches already mentioned above, and you'll not go wrong with them. But the truth is, pretty much any cheap Chinese torch will give you the best part of 100 yards, and some more, which is perfectly adequate for Air rifles. If you want more for spotting, then there is a strong argument this should be hand help rather than rifle mounted, but that's down to the individual/situation. I use Torches/lamping Kits/Night Vision, depending on rifle/situation. This torch cost about £3-4 from China and did just fine on

If its for the field you don't need any more than a CZ can offer, smack a SAK on the end, job done!

What planet are you on? In some cases relocating a fox is beneficial, so it can't possibly be an offence under your assertion. So, the Act does NOT prohibit relocating a fox, and what you maintain is, relocating a fox for the benefit of the fox is an offence, because it suffers unnecessarily!
-
It isn't an opinion, it is a statement of fact! Relocating a fox does not instantly or by implication cause it welfare issues. Your wild and ill informed assumption says it does! There is NOTHING in the Act that says it is an Offence to relocate a fox! If you think it says that, quote the section. Your assertion is….. The 2006 act prohibits animals suffering unnecessarily therefore it is an offence. No it isn't, that does NOT say it is an Offence to relocate a Fox. As I have already stated, it would have to be proved that by doing so the fox was caused welfare issues, not

No getting out of paying for GP fees anymore
Deker replied to Born Hunter's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I'm still not sure what the OP is actually saying? Isn't the OP exactly where we are now, if the police want more then they verify it with the GP, why does that mean we have to pay? -

So, what exactly have SACS achieved, and in the politest possible way, what have YOU done about it other than rolling over, asking to be shafted and paid? -
I always look for support and seldom shoot freehand these days. I'm sure that group is a lot better than I could do now, perhaps I should try sometime!
-
?????? It isn't an opinion at all, the Act either says it is an offence under the 2006 act to relocate a healthy fox, or it doesn't. if you think it does, quote the section!
-
There is NOTHING specifically illegal about relocating a fox, and nowhere in the 2006 Animal Welfare Act does it say relocating a fox is illegal. Relocating a fox does not instantly or by implication cause it welfare issues, that needs to be proven, and in some cases moving a fox is actually beneficial to the fox!

"With immediate effect every person who applies for a new firearms, shotgun or explosives licence will be required to provide medical information verified by a GP." So, what does that mean, we already declare any medical history and the Police can check with your GP anyway! -
Vermin, troublesome insects and rodents, mice, rats, squirrel! Whilst we all know the rabbit and fox can be troublesome there is debate as to whether they come under the heading vermin, so frankly, I'd say .204 is way over the top for the vast majority of Vermin in the UK.

I spend a lot of time dealing with foxes, urban and rural and off the top of my head I've done about 12 schools as well. Get a professional in, 2 or 3 days work should solve your problem permanently!
-
Correct, I often wonder where all the misinformation comes from!
-
???????????????????????? I don't give a hoot about consensus, I've seen it in the field, just the once with .204 but never with any other caliber!

First day or 2 of myxomatosis infection will not show any external sign, so who knows! They are also all fine to eat regardless, but I have no desire to try!

Must be 5-6 years back I was on a site around Chertsey with a pal which had a Public Footpath run right along one of its boundaries, hidden in large part by hedgerow. Been there an hour or two when we heard this disembodied voice scream out from the footpath area , "Murderers!" Little did the tree hugging/green/idiot know, that the 20 odd bunnies we had at that time, ALL had Mixxy, and we were actually performing a deed of mercy!
