  1. As above, what with the Laws and the quarry it seems a more local chat would be productive, what does everyone else use in your country?
  2. Very few shotguns of any sort are! Am I missing something, are we talking red dots or the likes on a shotgun? Any scope/laser/sighting device on a shotgun has very limited use as the distance/spread and arc of any shotgun ammo is terrible!
  3. It looks fair but don't expect it to stand up to much rough use....just the same, it seems some parts have a lifetime guarantee, or did I misunderstand that?
  4. I wouldn't have thought there would be much call for it , that would be my guess as to why it isn't drilled and tapped!
  5. I haven't had a virgin for more years than I can remember!
  6. There not cheap, I would have asked before I bought as well. Hope it works out for you!
  7. I'm not really following the OP. A gun for a permission and What do people value perms at. I work on lots of different land and have Permissions going back many years I can rely on, I'd never consider giving any away or swapping any for a gun. I have good relationships with these landowners, and its staying that way!
  8. If you just want Insurance go for the cheapest/best you can. BASC offers a lot more, but not everyone needs the more!
  9. 22-250 is pretty fast and can wear quicker than many others. .223 isn't particularly quick, but some home brews or lighter bullets can get up the speed!
  10. First off a .308/30.06 isn't an ALL round rifle, but it will probably be ok for the generally larger stuff you are talking about. One rifle solutions seldom work. Good luck!
  11. Is this your first venture into rifles, do you have experience, do you like HEAVY rifles? You have a very limited choice of any rifles if you want thumbhole! Each to their own but the CZ only comes in the Varmint (Heavy) version in thumbhole as far as I'm aware. NOT for me, why on earth do you want to lug around that lump, and at just over 2lb or about 1kg lighter, the 527 Synthetic is superb in .223, and very inexpensive as these things go. Select a rifle and maybe look at thumbhole stocks is another option, but probably not a cheap way of doing it. Good luck! PS.

    Slant eyes

We live in a daft world, certain organisations do that to people as well! Disturbing video just the same!
  13. So, they are making Rapids etc under new ownership. I had heard some US outfit had bought the name, and by the looks of things the rights as well. Certainly not cheap!
  14. Help me out, have I been living in a cave, I heard last night that Theoben were back producing guns in their old works in Somersham. On further questioning the perpetrator of the rumour, he said, maybe not Theoben, but someone else was making guns there! Anyone enlighten me more? Cheers
  15. You're as young as the woman you feel! so obviously old, as that is a derogatory sexist remark, so anyone younger will be deeply offended, anyone a bit older will simply chuckle without being shocked, offended or sponsoring a boycott or criminal action against the perpetrator of such intolerable comments!
  16. Couldn't believe it when I saw that yesterday!
  17. They are VERY good! Job I was doing with one of my guys, his gun, not mine, mines the CZ at the front largely hiding it! If you are looking for a cheap semi you would do far worse than the Magtech, cheap as chips, very simple and VERY reliable, whilst still decently accurate, trigger isn't great but does improve a bit over time!
  18. Makes a change to see some decent examples, seems so many are terrible!
  19. Decent numbers of Black, never seen a white one!
  20. I don't know it, is it available in UK? As said, price is important and IF it makes the approved list here!
  21. It certainly sounds fair, I have land that has ALL of those and Reds as well, but if truth be known the Roe tops the list with lots of Muntjac and then Fallow, Sika, Reds in diminishing numbers, no CWD round my way! There is a suggestion the site could be Hampshire way, so not that far from me, infinitely possible, but who knows until someone takes a proper look!
  22. You need to get someone to survey the area and take it from there, definitive answers will be thin on the ground until the facts are better known.
