    Whatever, we live in a time when people need to be very careful! There are some VERY good deals to be had and some really genuine/helpful people to deal with, its a real shame when some scammers turn up!

    As with most shows its ok for a look and feel of some stuff, and generally gives a better chance to compare than at your local RFD. All the salesman from all the companies tell you they have exactly what you want of course, keep an open mind! If you have an idea what you are after already they can be useful for feeling out deals, but be careful of one off show deals, you can often do better else ware (but not always, some are ok). Usual traffic grief, queues and daft expensive food/drink. Worth a look if you've not done a show for a year or two!

    The only BLACK rabbit I have ever caught in a live trap. APPLE got him, I rarely trap rabbits but have had success with various veg, including cabbage stalk and carrot, apple worth a try!

    Are you looking to work the dogs, or simply take them as an aid to hunting. Getting your first land can be hard work, but for whatever reason its usually harder work if its just to work the dogs!

    Gun design continues to evolve primarily due to technology. Aesthetics are very personal and we tend to get used to things, just the same, having something you are happy with the look and feel of in your hands "can" help performance....bit like your girlfriend, the ugly ones may perform as well, or even better, than the pretty ones, but …………….!

    Here's something else for you to read and file. There are people on this site that have used a HMR since they arrived in this country nearly 20 years ago, I can't help thinking they are better qualified to comment than someone with NO HMR and NO FAC who reads a lot! HMR isn't a bad choice. HMR isn't any worse in the wind than some other calibres, and is much better than .22lr. There is nothing Marginal in the power of a HMR for fox at normal fox distances, I shoot loads of them with .22lr subs at circa 100ft lb, the HMR is circa 245ft lb, the V-Max are also far more devastating u

    I'm afraid he is sorely lacking in knowledge of the Hunting Act. I didn't see mass arrests under the Hunting Act at the many, and VERY well attended Hunts (both participants and spectators) over the Christmas period! The Act was put together to get a few votes and keep a vocal minority quiet, I've had numerous clients call me with fox issues thinking they are protected under the Act and I can't kill them!
