  1. The 22 Hornet still trundles along in the UK, although its popularity is limited these days, nothing wrong with it, and potentially serves a useful purpose where it sits energy wise! Do you have the 17 Hornet, don't seem to hear much about that in the UK these days!!
  2. Always sad to hear news like this. There is more than enough economic and social pressure on shoots, without other environmental issues clobbering them as well!
  3. Yep, the sonic crack always happens outside the barrel and passed the mod, so there is nothing you can do about it. I think technically, Silencers are only applicable to sub sonic ammo, after that they are Sound Moderators, although the name seems interchangeable with various manufacturers/retailers/users!!! Both my .22LR have a SAK on the end, so does my WMR, my HMR has a SM11, and when they dies it will get a SAK as well. The SAK is still one of the cheapest on the market and I'm more than happy with its performance on Sub Sonic and HV! PS I have heard good things abou
  4. What's the building/tax regulations in Ireland, are they similar to UK?
  5. Help please!! I need to remove a name, (Lettering), painted onto Gelcoat without damaging the Gelcoat. Cellulose thinners have been suggested, but I'm really nervous about that, I think it could damage the Gelcoat, BUT, is there a way I can dilute cellulose thinners, and if so what with?? Any other suggestions how to remove the painted name but not damage the Gelcoat. Cheers!!
  6. Gender self identification is lunacy! How can you wake up one day and identify as a woman, and the next day identify as a man, or whatever other gender is fashionable, its just bonkers!!
  7. Depends on barrel and ammo of course. That will be a 100yard zero, with a FIRST zero at 42 yards.
  8. Each to their own. If that works for you that's great. Personally, and for my locations, I favour somewhere 75-100 Yard zero! That leaves me pretty much point and shoot from about 25-125 yards!
  9. Good point, she went under the knife later in life and it was pretty obvious!!
  10. Personally I never had time for her, a woke idiot with tunnel vision, but somehow a lot in Scotland did! It may be someone worse next, its still the SNP!!!!
  11. As a matter of interest, what zero do you have on the HMR? Mine is 100yards, and as I mentioned in a previous post, I'm confident out to 125, but in honesty the majority of shots are under 100. Been thinking of knocking down the zero to 75-80 maybe, but not really having any issues regardless!
  12. Am I missing something or has this wondered way off topic?
  13. Prone, and on the bipod, I'm very confident out to about 125yards with the HMR. Best ever is 258yards, under controlled conditions (not a shot I would usually consider with HMR), and used the HMR to 600 yards at Bisley.....I eventually got it on the board!!!
  14. I have no idea what the lead ban will eventually do to rimfires, but I still love my HMR, then again I still use both my 2 x .22lr and my WMR. I have a use for them all, so at the moment they are going nowhere!
  15. This just continues my thoughts all along, this is a very strange case!
  16. Not sure what any of this has got to do with not finding her, or her body. Where are the police going with this????
  17. ??? You would have to say, why release this information now then???
  18. That she was High Risk, had a drink problem and they were called to her a while before she went missing!
  19. I have found Deben (Hawke) very helpful over the years. Worth a chat!
  20. One Million Years B.C. !!!!! RIP Raquel!!!!
  21. This is getting more unreal all the time. Apparently the police new this all along, why have they decided to make it public now?????
  22. I raised this emoji issue several weeks ago, seems that problems still persist!!!
  23. I heard about this a few days back.......loads of practical issues of course, and how much will we get? I'll believe it when it happens!!!
  24. When we joined it was the Common Market! In principle there was nothing wrong with that, but it developed into the Federal Republic of Europe and we lost control of loads of things. We still comply with the ECHR and many other EU things, but for the purists out means out! I never did, and still don't have any particular issue with, a Common Market (dependent on specific rules) it can make a lot of sense!
  25. Mine was a disaster, but that was a long time back! It had about 70,000miles on the clock, and had spent a lot of time being fixed, eventually went in again and repair bill was so high it was cheaper to scrap it! No doubt others got on better!
