  1. Had a whole load of them move into a large local hotel car park, and as the hotel residents left more caravans turned up. The hotel lost a fortune as paying guests didn't want to park in a gypsy enclave or stay next to a gypsy encampment!
  2. Why not, a fun thing to try and every now and again you will hit one, once you have got the distance its just a matter of keep working on it! On the driving range of one of the golf course I shoot we play games with the golf balls, try to keep them moving, first person shoots then the next asap when it lands, good fun, but the balls don't last long...but that's not Air rifles!!!
  3. Just a thought, are you using, or have you tried, any lead free ammo yet? Our first club shoot of the year is on Sunday, and one of our guys tells me he is bringing some to try! I'm more than nervous about the stuff, but not tried any yet.
  4. Thought you were busy, but how do you fancy the odd school in West London???
  5. It has always been the way as far as I'm concerned, always deal with the cubs if the situation develops, don't leave them to starve. One of the first things I was taught many years ago!
  6. Well, last night didn't work out, 62 mile round trip, got there 5.00pm and bloke had forgotten and gone home, spoke to another guy there who was going home at 6.30, said I could get on with things until then. Waste of time, cleaners, a few staff, even pupils still on site and messing about, by the time the site was sorted it was time to leave, the plan was, I would have been there until 23.00-24.00. Now they will ruck over the bill, invoice has to go in to these!! Back to the farms asap, just turn up and get on with it as long or short a time as I want!!
  7. Had indexing issues for years, even Falcon themselves couldn't fix it. I have just found SMW magazines for the Falcon, which seem to be completely independent of the Falcon indexing system and do away with it altogether!
  8. I need to get out more in the country, work seems to have me on the foxes at all sorts of commercial premises at the moment. I have a massive plant hire firm, a car importer, telecoms giant etc., etc., all with fox issues at the moment, and the schools just keep coming with them. At a school in west London tonight. Still have plenty of farms, Golf courses, stables, country estates etc., but don't seem to get out on them so much at the moment!
  9. Do I assume Sportsman are the importers then, Dorchester is a least possible, I've bought a 2 rifles from them anyway! I must admit, when I think back, the PCP are not exactly cheap, (especially today) and I've had far more problems with them over the years than with any rimfire or centrefire!
  10. I think you will need to be of a certain age!!!!!
  11. FX seems to be getting some support, assorted varieties! I have to say I'm a bit nervous just the same, at the moment I can't find anyone (South of Leicester) to fix my pretty basic Falcon, so if anything goes wrong with a FX what then??
  12. I really can't believe it is such hard work to get some help, I can't even find a professional to repair the gun south of Leicester at the moment! Looks like there is an opening for a decent gunsmith in the central south of England.
  13. From their website.............. Each range has over 140 varied targets at ranges from 10 to 200 yards. Does seem a long way for sub 12, but is that the case, I suspect it is, but I didn't see anything saying no FAC on their website (I may well have missed it)
  14. I don't have a local gun shop anymore, closest (other than Bisley) is about 25 miles, and they do most work in house, but don't want to know about the Falcon as...you cant get the parts anymore!!!
  15. Thanks again, its getting a bit far but I'll give him a call tomorrow anyway!
  16. Dorset would be the closest so far, I'm in Berkshire! If you have some details it would be much appreciated. Cheers
  17. Cheers, I have their number, they are closed today, I'll call tomorrow!
  18. Gorilla wipes work well for a quick clean up, shoes and clothes, but I think that may need a bit more work!
  19. Just called them anyway, unfortunately I have a Falcon FN19 and they don't work on them!!!
  20. Deker

    Bye bye Betty

She did a pretty good job from what I remember!
  21. Thanks, but a bit far, why are they all midlands/up north?
  22. FFS ....Hope you have some decent washing powder, we all get a bit mucky sometimes, but it looks like you have been through some ancient blood letting ritual!!!
