I still hate it around me, there's fallen wood all over the place. When I lived over the road I spent many, many hours harvesting the "free" wood. Where I am now I've got gas heating and the conversion to open fire/log burner would be uneconomical, especially as my collecting/processing/storage situation is inconvenient nowadays Cheers, D.

The most fukcing annoying thing ever! When I'm on the bike and I approach people, I shout (in a pleasant way ) "coming through" if I'm walking and people on bikes ring their bell more than one "ting" I totally ignore them it's as though they are saying "get out of the way" The worst are the ones who silently flash past you, you don't know they are there ffs. Have threatened to put the lead and coupling through a few spokes over the years, especially when people on bikes say "your dog should be on a lead" on a fecking bridleway bikes are supposed to give way to everything else, ho

Sure you know but your not allowed to cycle on Public Footpaths, only on bridleways, white roads etc. Cheers, D.

My godfather (and mother's cousin) was the one who got me into country walking - Youth Hostelling etc, died of a heart attack on Helvellyn. He was the only brainy one of the family - was a professor at Warwick University. R.I.P. Uncle Brian. D. -

I used to buy them off Ginger French, £3 a pop and sell them for a fiver. Nowadays I kept my dogs jabbed up at the vets till they're 10 then don't reckon they need anymore, tbf my vet agrees with me. Cheers, D.
