    This is and, for the foreseeable future, will always be a very emotive issue. In this thread alone I've read some very good arguments for both sides - Not always articulated as well as it could have been but, I can certainly see the sense on both sides of the argument. However, I do think the fact is that the world just isn't ready for full integration yet - that'll be a very slow process. Right now, Mankind thrives on conflict - Try to step back and look at it.     Ok, serious answer ..... I can't see any one just giving you a permission - They're hard work to get. I think it's safe to say that none of us pay to shoot. Well, not airgunners - a shotgun syndicate is different. To get a permission requires leg work, thought and patience (and trust on both sides - after all, you are asking someone to let you loose with a loaded rifle). Where local to you may have pest problems? What time of year might those pests be most prevalent? What can you offer the land owner? Don't get disheartened, it'll happen eventually.     It's a shame that you're so far away - I wouldn't mind a go on that to feel the difference. I've never actually used a professionally tuned springer. My .22 feels nicer after I put in a new piston, spring and seal in it.

    You would have noticed any damage straight away, I would imagine. I'd give it a few shots at a target just to make sure all is still ok. My daughters Goldstar se says to fill to 232bar but, I only ever go to 200. Atb

    I finally managed to get out again last night - because of work and shite weather, I hadn't been to the rugby club for nearly 3 weeks. I intended to have a good look round to see what was new in preparation for a good night later this week. I tracked a juvenile that was just ambling through the trees. He eventually stopped to eat, up a bank but, he had his back to me. I was no more than 20yrds away. He was nice and relaxed and, he kept his head down eating. I watched him for a couple of minutes, he just stayed right where he was and, flat out refused to present a shot. I squeaked him
