    To be fair, a lot of that is looking pretty good. Like Mac says, the piston seal is knackered and, the spring doesn't look too clever. I reckon You'll have that running nicely in no time The cosmetic bits on the action and stock will take time. Be patient and enjoy it, that thing will be a keeper

    For anyone who's not sure on these, they're an awesome airgun. Unbelievably solid and accurate. I only sold mine because I needed the money at the time. If I had the funds now, I'd probably buy this. They really don't come any better. IMHO the price is good. Good luck with the sale - you'll miss it when it's gone.

    Yep, that's an early Mk3 I still don't know if Macs Prosport bits will fit in it though. It might come good from a strip and a good clean up, new piston seal and regrease. Good luck

    I don't think it's a Mk1 Mac. The Mk1 didnt have any notches on the loading port. The Mk2 had 3 notches, evenly spaced. The Mk3 has 3 notches, 2 together and 1 further away. From what I can see in the pics, it could be a very early Mk3. I gather they put the first ones in Mk2 stocks. I don't know if the inner parts are interchangeable though, sorry.

    It might be worth keeping an eye on the sales threads .... As good a Weihrauch springers are, I have heard about some questionable QC on brand new ones. A used one is likely to be sorted and bedded in. I don't think you'll go wrong with either of the rifles that you're considering. They're both good quality and will last for years. With a used rifle or scope, you will get more for money buying used but, you will sacrifice warranty. Decisions, decisions Have fun choosing

    I'm a townie. I grew up on a council estate. But, I never was one for putting graffiti on shop shutters or nicking cars. I preferred the woods and the rivers - It was always quieter and it smelled nicer I'm always amazed at the way some people (Townies) will recoil when I offer them rabbit or pigeon ..... Good fresh honest meat Vs processed crap. ..... I made rabbit pasties and took them into work, to educate the townies. Everyone loved them, they'd all gone in 10mins
