That's fecking gutting Any hope of insurance covering it? The c**ts want one of the saws taking to their hands I agree with that!

That's just how we are with these things mate - airgunners are tinkerers. We get hold of these things and can't help taking them apart I'm sure it'll be better than the original when you've finished .... I can still feel the whack that my dad gave me for dismantling a carriage clock when I was a kid

Wow, they look like a nasty pellet Surely they'd have to be fired at fac power to expand like that?

Cheers mate. I'm really pleased with it. It was the last one in the shop when I went to pick it up, it just happened to have some nice grain on it. It's had a few coats of Phillips Walnut oil which, did darken it slightly. -
Nice shooting Matt It is nice when you bump into someone like that and they're genuinely interested.

If you want something very discrete, you could do a lot worse than this. Edgun Lelya.

I shoot with an airgun because I enjoy it. Even though I am rural, there is a bridleway on one side and a single track road on the other. Then there's the neighbours. Everyone is just a bit too close. Each to their own. Can't argue on the numbers game but it just wouldn't be appropriate on my little farm. See this fellas.......... Small rifle, small farm - Don't let PW meet your women

And I thought it was that your Mum wouldn't let you have a proper gun Yep, he's got a little 'un .... Don't you worry son - There's a hole for every peg

Oops, bloody typos eh

Right, this thread seems to be moseying along a little too nicely - Not at all how VM intended So, I'll have a pop at getting it back on track ....... I hunt with an air rifle because I'm secure enough in the knowledge that my testosterone levels have provided me with large enough genitals that, I don't feel the need to have 2 large, self affirming barrels in my hand while hunting. Just saying like Yeeeeeeah, C'mon ya fuckers :D

Yes mate, they come with it. But, if you something a bit posher, Rowan Engineering are well worth a look.

How I do miss my old Menace. They are rather good. This ones a 4-14x44 with the ML16 reticle. I find it really helps when I'm shooting .22. -
Mines a .177. I use a Hawke Airmax 4-16x50 sf amx. Nice clear glass and a nice fine reticle. It also works really well my NV kit.

Air Arms Tx200 Mk3 16Lb Pressure

I reckon £250 sounds about right. From what I can gather, the Mk3 & HC was designed to run at FAC levels, with a larger swept volume than the Mk1 & 2 (But, I'm no expert. I'm happy to be corrected). There's an American bloke on one of the other forums who has his HC running at around 18ftlb (It might be a little more) - He really rates it and, seems to have a lot of success with it. Even at those levels, because of the weight of the rifle, the recoil isn't going to be huge. Anyway, if you don't like how it shoots, they're unbelievably easy to strip and work on. If I can do -
Wouldn't Normally Be My Shot Of Choice.........

Yes mate - That's Lilly, our 2yr old Chihuahua. She's actually really well behaved - she just pulls that face if I hold her front paws - no noise or biting, just the face -
That might be best Personally, I reckon if you two met up for a days shooting and a couple of pints, things would be different - you both seem to be decent blokes and, you share a common interest. These forums are good but, it can be all too easy for a difference of opinion to deteriorate wher as, it properly wouldn't during a proper conversation. Atb

Happy Birthday LH. Have a good one .... Where do I send the stripper

Wouldn't Normally Be My Shot Of Choice.........

I still class myself as a relative newbie - I came back to air rifle hunting around a year ago, after a 20yr break. There's certainly a lot to learn. I guess the technique was a bit unorthodox but, I did start to wonder if it was ever going to present a shot I usually try to position myself for the classic side on shot or, wait until it turns for me. .... Every day's a school day -
Good stuff mate. What do you night shooters use? Lamps and torches or night vision? Never done it but wouldn't mind a bash sometime. I use a night vision kit - Either a Nite Site Viper or an NVUK home brew style kit. If you're ever down Swindon way for the night, give me a shout Cheers fella will bare that in mind. I work down Swindon now and then for a few days at a time. A bloke at work makes really good night vision kits and sells them for £250. He's had really good reviews off the lads that have brought them. I'm tempted to get one off him but think I need a better scope to justi

I don't want it dead but, I've just discovered some b*****ds cat has been shitting in the new stones in my front garden. I wonder what the law is regarding me going and taking a shit on someones lawn when I find out where it lives.

Cheers Gaz, I really like the look of that pie. Also, it's great that your little 'un likes rabbit (proper, honest food) I've just arranged to go out tomorrow night - I should be able to get a couple for that easily enough
