  1. Now that is good news mate, brilliant. Phil
  2. We believe you me ole dukzz Phil
  3. Jimmy has done some lovely work including one for me but as he said prep is king linked to the fact that the Hoppes kit is very very hard to get as Edgar Brothers had taken it off their stock list last time I looked but worth a phone call to see. Phil
  4. Don't worry too much about reducing the power level for barn work as I found after dropping the power on my Impact, I would forget to take it back up again, I know, old fool BUT I then just left the power on my .25 at 47fpe for everything without any issues at all including inside barn roofs and on rafters when shooting the ferals, simply do not miss, use a support if needed and away you go. Phil
  5. No Daniel, you shot the pigeon, so well done. Phil
  6. Looks like they are onto a winner then Mitch although early days yet but I will be most interested to see how they develop. Phil
  7. Sorry it had to go Jimmy but knowing all your circumstances, it was a wise move really mate, other things are more important and life goes on, another rifle will come up later. Phil
  8. Lovely gun Sean, I hope your parents will soon be married................................................................................................................................??........................? Phil
  9. A good night long overdue. I raise my glass to England. Phil
  10. Have you still got that green HW100 BN, I really liked the look of that. Phil
  11. I was a repro specialist for The Konica corpoation whizzing around Europe, Japan and the US and finished up as uk dealer sales manager selling all pre press items, Plates, film etc plus press chemicals. I worked for Dantex Graphics in Bradford linked with Konica and then for a really shit company called openshaws. There were some great times in the print industary with loads of money........................ah well, I love my retirement but miss those salaries I can tell you. ? Phil
  12. Are we talking about Pindar Print here boys. I used to call in to see them as I was in the print game. Trying to remember the guy's name who ran the repro department, you will not what the hell I am talking about if this is not Pindar Print however. Phil
  13. Got me thinking as well SD and just showed the photo to my pal so now he is interested in one...............................you have started something here Tom. Phil
  14. Bloody crap DB. You have to consider that the dark ops has a big reduction in range over the 850 nan light so if you want a wolf 940nan, buy an Eagle to get the same distance. I was actually told that by NiteSite staff at a show. To be honest, they are not worth the extra money. Phil
  15. I totally agree LS, the NiteSite despite all the Ward 700/800 units and the onslaught of Pard everywhere you turn, has a very valid place in night time shooting. I have both the Wolf and the Viper and for ratting, they are supreme in my eyes and despite the light from screen, I rarely scare rabbits away ( I admit once they see my face, most things run like hell ). I am using the wolf at the moment on a spare scope as a spotter hand held which is brilliant from the car checking fields. My shooting partner has gone the Pard route, in fact I am just having a play with an 007 he bought to joi
  16. Oh hell Tom, that is even better mate and perfect for two perms I have where there are lots and lots and lots etc etc of pigeons but a little close to houses. Perfik..... Phil
  17. Oh that sounds really good Mitch. The day will come when I have another. Phil
  18. Well bugger me, that is a new one on me. >410 I take it. Phil
  19. I had a Rapid .22 fac which was good but a bit heavy and then one day in the rfd, he had an impact sub 12 .22 s/h come in so I popped into the shop's 25mt range to have a few shots with it. My god, once in the shoulder, you cannot fail to see how good they feel, just something about them and I had to have one. They have a customer with far more money than sense who buys a new gun then puts it in the shop to sell and buys another gun the exact same. He brought in a three month old .25 fac, it was love at first sight and my pal had my Rapid. I must tell you that about 6 weeks later the guy
  20. Hang on Tom, are you saying the Investarm o/u has some kind of noise suppressor fitted or have I misunderstood you. Phil
  21. Like Si, I have a .25 FX Impact fac which is cracking and never fails to put a smile on my face. I have owned two FX Wildcats, .177 and .22 and loved them. They are a dream to walk around with, tack drivers, light as a feather (2.6kg) and around 250 shots per fill. What is not to like............................................the mag is only 8 shot and I would have thought the only improvement to make is a bigger mag. Wish I had not sold mine but I needed the money to buy the Impact. Don't believe all the rubbish about FX being unreliable, there are always the odd issue but most of
  22. Certainly looks interesting but is ELR mainly a target load or is it used for hunting as well because I have no knowledge of it, like many things in life when I think about it........ Phil
  23. Nice one Sean, I take it the rifle we spoke about is a non starter. No ticket yet but I have found a rifle. Phil
  24. Agreed but I also enjoy range time as well. love pellet testing and live ammo testing as well. Phil
  25. Thanks Simon. The HW100 has long gone and 95% of my shooting is fac .25 so little or no sub 12 in fact I think I only shot maybe 50 shots all last year with sub12 and that was .22. Times change... Phil
