The other two places I can think of is BBS Airgun forum and AGF forum failing that it is worth a call to City Airweapons in Lincoln as they are Rapid people.

Have you tried the Rapid forum as some of those guys have all kinds of Rapid related stuff. Phil

The Marmite Gun Hw57 Tune Up
philpot replied to mattybugeye's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Welcome aboard matey, you are a little late in your response in fact 10 years too late but never mind. I do like the 57 and had a few over the years and wouldn't mind getting another, for some reason they never really found strong favour in the UK. Phil -

FX DRS HD. Walnut stock. Anyone use one?
philpot replied to pianoman's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Hello Simon, so good to see you on here again as it seems a long time ago mate, hope you are keeping well my friend. To the matter in hand, my shooting buddy has both the .177 and .22 in FX DRS and love them. I have had a few shots with them on our range and I was quite impressed with accuracy. I can't remember the distance but I think it was 40yds using the .177, he bought the .22 later. As a sub 12 gun and cheaper than both the HW 100 and 110 so good value for money from the FX stable. It must be said that I called in an RFD in the Scarborough area who told me that he didn't se -
Well I am pleased for you Mike, hang on to it as it sounds like you have got a good one..... Phil

Sunday afternoon I was taking the impact for some sunbathing rabbit sport but as I topped up the gun with air, a hiss could be heard, from the 250 bar fill it dropped the pressure until it reached 200 bar then looked stable so I took it anyway. It was of course dropping all the time but at a slower rate, overnight it was down to under 50bar so a new set of seals is needed. Now the gun has been sat in the rfd stock room untouched for over 2 years so I am not surprised to see this problem and as it was running at 41fpe it is a bit on the low side as mu old one was sat at 52fpe and I do want to

Does this have an air cylinder under the barrel as well as the bottle Jimmy. Never seen one of these before and confess I do like it, well I like your verminator so I would like this and of course you have this, you don't need the verminator...................................do you. Phil

I sold my FX Impact .25 fac about 2-3 years ago purchasing an FX Wildcat a .22 fac to replace it but if I am totally honest, I very quickly missed the power of the quarter bore rifle but as a retired old fart, I was not able to buy another so had to stick with the cat. I must say however that it was not really the gun I missed, it was the calibre, the sheer umph from the .25 suited me very well with some very long range shooting using pellets not slugs and the desire was firmly stuck in my mind to get another. I popped into my local rfd today to have a coffee , chat and to check zero in

RETURNING BACK TO A SPRING AIR RIFLE
philpot replied to mitre's topic in Shooting Equipment & Accessories
Hw100, HW110 x 3, BSA Ultra x2, FX Streamline, FX Wildcat x2, FX Wildcat fac, FX Impact fac, Air Arms 200T x 2, Air Arms s410, Snowpeak P30. I think there are a few others as well but I can't just think of them so £18 on this many guns over the years, well for me thats not much of an ongoing service / repair cost. The only new guns were HW100, one HW110, FX Wildcat fac Phil -
They are Turkish made by Hatsan, this vid may give you some info. Phil

Might be worth looking at the video on their site as you may well be running too high a pressure. The graph with the rifle shows how the output curve looks if filling to a max of 250bar. Daft idea really, if the gun is designed to run at 125bar to give optimum output, that is what they should print on the gun. No regulator so you will have to watch how much poi shift you get. Looks a handy little gun. EBA XV2 WWW.EDGARBROTHERS.COM Founded in 1947, Edgar Brothers is one of the oldest, most well established importers and wholesalers of firearms, am

RETURNING BACK TO A SPRING AIR RIFLE
philpot replied to mitre's topic in Shooting Equipment & Accessories
Interesting comment but for myself owning a number of pcp guns, I have only had to replace a special seal on my old Impact which cost £18 and never had any gun serviced so I can't really agree with you there. Just thinking on, my shooting partner has never spent a penny on his pcp guns either. Phil -
Hello Mike, its been a while but nevertheless you are back. I tell people who are in a similar position to you to look outside the box, in other words look at a different sector assuming you are only going to use a sub 12 air rifle, these ideas may work for you. Industrial sites can be a haven for rats and if there is a canal / stream close by, perfect for rat movement. Allotments do get serious issues at times with rats, feral pigeon as well as woodpigeon, not to forget rabbits. Dock areas are full of feral pigeon which crap all over anything below their roost points. fa

This bloody gun has been in my mind so much since watching the reviews that I decided to visit a dealer who I know had one in stock along with a few 694s as well so it seemed a good idea to go and get a feel of them to see what I thought. Where do I start, the gun is quite striking assuming that a black action with orange writing on and a dark laminated stock is your thing, then you will love it. I am a wood man however I really do like the effect of the 688 and would be more than happy to have one on my shoulder. Comparing it to the 694 which were both 32'' it was worth mounting the g

Far far more flexible to use an fac air in any areas, open fields, trees or around building with the ability to turn down the power if needed, cheap ammo and now with slugs, the performance is amazing capable of greater distances than rim fire rifles BUT you pay the price. Phil

Yes Graham or Andy will do a deal on your shotgun but be aware older 28'' guns do not bring in much dosh unless it is a Beretta, Browning/Miroku, good luck with it, tell them Phil Roberts sent you and they will tell you to bugger off ....................... Speak to Andy if you can, he is the one with hair and glasses, Graham owns the shop but is as tight as they come so make a mental note. Phil
