  1. He might have posted this on every forum and forgot where he posted. ?
  2. It is very interesting what you lads can do with the newer Impacts and liner combinations but I recall seeing an earlier 'airgun 101' where they were shooting slugs through a standard gaystate rifle on the US bench rest venue with the same results as being gained by the FX boys. With that in mind, I am still curious to try some in my old Impact but I am not at this stage buying new barrel and liners as it works well enough with AA pellets but I suspect the slugs would have less effect from the wind which is a major factor if shooting 70 - 100mt range, not that I do so often but it would be a
  3. I have been lookig for a suitable tank for a while now and checked every large tank from plumbers merchants and building merchants along with bith Wickes and B&Q but they all have these baffles / fins / molded in strengthening plates at the bottom of the sides to stop the swelling. The smaller ones do not have them. These baffles in the big tanks stop the flow of water running around the tank so the filters cannot work properly. The tank SL found has no strengthening plates inside which is why I say it is ideal, trust me finding a fecking tank suited to my needs is driving me bloody
  4. I wish I ha found it as it would be ideal for me to keep live shrimp as bait for my sea fishing. It is not a water tank as ALL larger tanks have baffles to add strength, this one has not so perfect for shrimp. Phil
  5. Quote:- On the calibre fronts, the FEO may have a point. Expanding ammo is unlawful on ranges except where sighting in a hunting gun. Isn't .17hmr manufacturerd in expanding ammo only? I can't comment on .300 blk out as although I know a bit about the round, I don't know the ammunition available. It maybe a good compromise might be a single gun at 1st of lesser calibre such as .22 rf with a view to applying for a larger cf calibre at a later date if cf target is your aim. A .22rf is a very common target gun and good way of showing trust. That said, atm, with a medical refusal, calibre is
  6. May your mother and father soon be married Mitch..........................................................barsteward. ? Phil
  7. I'll just get the violin out.................................... I could always loan you one maybe two if the price is right. ? Phil
  8. BASC have just released a statement stating that shooting groups of more than six people can still go ahead. Press release:- Shooting exempted from new COVID-19 restrictions in England After substantial work by BASC and other organisations with government ministers and pro-shooting MPs, the government has announced exemptions, which cover shooting in England, to the rule of six which came into force today (Monday, 14 September). • Any outdoor physical activity which requires a licence issued by a public body for the activity itself, or for equipment used during the activit
  9. I agree with above in principle in that you should appeal however as you want co-terminous tickets, do you already have a shotgun license, if so you may lose that if things went to court and you lost your appeal. The FEO is never going to be on your side now that his feathers are well and truely ruffled so I think you will find this to be an uphill fight. If you do fight it with BASC providing legal council, great but if not, you need to find a solicitor who has experience in firearms and demand to see the senior officer, I don't think you will get to see the cheif constable but who knows
  10. I am not sure if they are the same Mitch from what I read or saw on youtube, as always I stand to be corrected though. Phil
  11. FX make an adjustable set of mounts which when repositioned stil keep fully in contact with the scope so no uneven pressure. Certainly cost more than a coke can but some of the comments from people using them have rated them very highly and they are available in the US. Phil
  12. Yo Henry...................................the ole man don't like them there little black discs so you will be on to show him how it's done. ? I bought one of those hand throwers, a single, but not very good as it simply will not throw very far at all. I must have a look at yours mate when up next. The flight pond looks nice Si, did you get any. Phil
  13. Photobucket have a range of charges but I pay £25 per year to increase my image bank, I do not pay for posting photos onto forums. They have just launched a major new site update which in some cases is faster and easier to use but they have deactivated my phone app so rhe images produced have been lost even though they were on the main site. Buggered if I know but I will install the new mobile app so I can load from both my cameras and phone. I don't mind paying £25 per year providing it does the job for me and I think it wil only be a matter of time before everyone finds they get charg
  14. Hmmm never done that but a first time for everything.
  15. Ok, I get that but I normally use 'photobucket' to load any photos onto the forums and just thinking about it, I should be able to transfer any images onto that, then download as normal. I will take a wild guess that you don't use photobucket to store and load photos. Phil
  16. I have had some cracking photos on my £40 Amazon cameras but never kept any as I just wanted to see what was around sooooo how do you get the photos on here. We are not using them at the moment but they will come back into use this autum and it would be good to post a few pics. Love these shots Walshie Phil
  17. Next to rats, my target species with any gun sub 12, fac or shotgun, magpies look a pretty bird but they are evil buggers. We have moorhens that nest in the pond over my wall, they got all the chicks but I got some of them. Nice one Mark Phil
  18. Have you seen that target that has a number of target legs so as you shoot the target, it walks down the garden. There is another version which I think is a bit stronger but nevertheless they look fun for a tenner. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flikshot-Pistol-Air-Rifle-and-Air-Gun-Self-Righting-Walking-Target-Shooting/223776733866?hash=item341a21faaa:g:~Z4AAOSwArtd5N1q Phil
  19. Just doing a test loading photo from the new photobucket system and now I cannot delete it..........................oh well never mind at least it works in two different methods so I now have a choice. Phil
  20. A very nice chap from another forum contacted me to see if I was still on the lookout for some mags, long story short, I bought 3 Weihrauch mags, two 3D printed single shot loaders and a spare fill probe posted for £55 which I am delighted with. Look no further.
  21. Yes it is sad that we might not be able to pull this off but as Si has said, Trish and myself can bring our trap and the 28gauge if you have some land Jimmy. I was keeping this bit quiet but I have a little trophy on it's way with 'HOT SHOT NATALIE' engraved on it so no matter what happens Jimmy, you can pass on that just for a bit of fun but don't tell her until you have to just in case we can get her to fire a few shots. Phil
  22. That is pure cruelty to tins, if you are not careful the anti brigade will report you or get between you and the tin.....................................? Hell Cwiss might even get a new group together to put a stop to this action. Phil
  23. Well a quick check on the 'Clay and Game' website and a Mec 600 lunior can be fitted with a 28g set of bushes so I will see how things progress and perhaps look for a s/h Mec. Must say I am looking forward to trying it. Phil
  24. Oh bugger................................................and I have just bought a new KOFS 28g twp hours ago. Cartridge advise please guys. I picked up a couple of boxes 21gr but thinking about it, I will try some 14gr and 18gr. Sorry SD, I seem to have highjacked your thread. Phil PS. you are right about the Lee Loadall SD
