What new Impact Si, you been keeping a secret. Phil

My name is Phil and I have just phoned the firearms licensing dept to take a .223 off my variation form ....................................................... I cannot cope with the pressure ? Phil
-
Sean, do you have shares in Pard........................ Phil

I think you might be right Mark but FAP are not in any of my rfd's locally so went for JSB, just easier for me but it is on the agenda to try both RS and Express in the 110k in the near future. In .22, I am already a convert to JSB RS pellets but at the moment, I don't have one however a stock of pellets is here ready for as and when I get another. Phil

You have a good memory meece

It's funny Mark how you and Mitch find the lighter pellet works so well for you both. I really tried to switch to light pellets following you guys in .177 for my HW100 but had no joy at all however the AA express .177 were fantastic in my TX200 and pretty good in my HW99. In all the .22 guns, JSB RS gave perfect results and far better than standard or heavy pellets. I bought a fair few JSB Heavy and Exacts which I am working my way through but then try some AA Express or Exact Express in the HW110. It is really interesting subject and quite subjective. Phil

It may be worth fitting a rubber extension eye cup to remove extraneous light causing the reflection. I did have one but just looked in the odds n sods drawer but it is not there otherwise you could have it. If the scope is good for you, it must be her relative position so the cup may be ideal and a lot cheaper than another scope. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2505460.m570.l2632&_nkw=rubber+scope+eye+piece&_sacat=7301 Phil

Blade does some really nice stuff and has a lot of people who rate what he does. Phil

Just been stood in the garage looking in disbelief at the gear I have in there, shooting, fishing (both fresh and sea), my daughters camping stuff, tools etc etc etc. I am going to have a good session and be ruthless to shed a load of gear that really never comes out of there. Phil

What do you mean Si.................................nowadays ? Phil

Try some JSB Heavy, nice pellet. I tested some in my 110k which were really good so tried on a few pigeon....................perfik. ? I still had a part used tin of Biz Mags from when I had my 100KT and were spot on in that gun but not as good as the JSB in my current 110k. Phil

Might be an idea to just post it on here Ben. Phil

I yell you what, I would give up most of my perms if I could get a really good rat perm and I have a lot of perms. Phil
-
Do it Jimmy, you are ready for a spirit lift mate and the Crown will do that for sure. Phil

Sooooooooo miss rat shooting, my rat perm has so many cats there now, we don't see any, shame as we could get around 40 - 60 per session ? Phil

Auto shotgun Spent cartridge deflector
philpot replied to Meece's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I have to say that I have a love affair with my little 28ga, fun and yet very effective when I am on target. It smokes the clays as well, I have missed out on the fun aspect that this little fella gives me. Phil -
Auto shotgun Spent cartridge deflector
philpot replied to Meece's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
A couple of years ago, well nearer 5 or 6 years when I think of it BUT I did have some discussions with a chao from the US who had used Mk1 ,2 ,3 etc of the cartridge catcher. The system flicks the cartridge into a frame from which you remove the spent shells and do whatever with them Now the story went that the company (sorry I cannot remember the name of the company ) kept producing updates which work to a point but not all the time so the chap told me that he devised his own deflector. I tested his idea and it certainly helps to send the ejected shells down near my feet. I made, as -
My rfd has one in but I cannot make my mind up if I like it or not. I think it would make a cracking gun for the rats and ferals around the farm buildings but there again so does my 110k at half the price. If I were to spend a load on a sub 12, it would be another FX Wildcat in all honesty and still have a wad left over even at that reduced price. Phil

it got bigger nuts than me ? Phil

Well done in even getting out while the wet stuff is not falling on you. Phil

hmmmm perhaps next year Mitch Phil

I have a mental block with things like this or car stuff etc, didn't used to be but I have no confidence to do work like this, I wish it was not the case but it is Mitch. I am however still thinking about the plenum but not sure if it is worth the bother as my gun has the original barrel so way behind all you guys. Phil
-
It is not a subject that I have to spend much time on as I cannot afford another anyway, there was a new plenum for sale on another forum for £90 which I thought about but I am not good at stripping down a complex gun like this or any gun for that matter so I would need to get someone else to fit it.........................................oh well never mind. I think Forest Lodge Guns in Market Rasen, Lincs had some Remmy ammo in stock and if I have not lost the plot, they had some in wmr but cannot tell you what it was. Phil
