  1. Yea go on run it in............................?
  2. As per the title, I will be pellet testing in the new 110k this week with all the usual culprits but I have never used Hades in any gun so no idea if the system even works in sub12. Any feedback will encourage or discourage me to buy some. I always found Bis Mags to give the best results both on paper and hunting in my 177 hw100tk but the last 110k .22 was on JSB Exact RS as they were by far the best results. Tests will be on JSB Exact, AA Fields, Bis Mags, AA Express and whatever else is in my pellet drawer plus depending on feedback from you guys, possibly Hades. Phil
  3. It's my second one Sam so I am looking forward to getting on the ferals with it. Of course Mitch, I was not thinking, the .177 has more of a bark, it has been quite some time since I had a sub12 .177. I just popped out in the garden to blow a couple of pellets through and it's fine. I shot it yesterday in rain from inside my doorway which obviously made more difference than I thought. All good, basic zeroing in the garden this morning as it is not raining and the wind has reduced a tad but way too windy to take onto one of the farms to zero so a bit of fun for now. Phil
  4. Light in weight I think Mitch. I don't recall the .22 110k I had being as loud but I will compare it when I go back in the rfd as I am taking a few Weihrauch rifles into the range and test a 100 mod on this one and if it's quieter, there will be a 100 with a different look ? Phil
  5. As outlined above, there is a difference in handling between the Beretta/Parazzi and Browning/Miroku guns. In many cases, people prefer one 'feel' and handling over the other type but it is down to you. Some will say what a waste of money to spend £4k on a shotgun but having owned one or two costly guns, I would spend that amount and a shed load more if I could afford it, bloody pension ?. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and some would want a high degree of engraving, I prefer little or no engraving, we are all different in that respect but above all, take the time to visit a clay gro
  6. Just picked up my new 110k in .177 flavour, a thorough barrel clean and fit the Airmax compact 30. An all in weight of 3.6kg including the scope so now ready for zeroing and pellet testing next week. It is a slightly different mod from my last one which was the standard Weihrauch mod and I think it is a little louder so another test next week, pop on a standard mod and check the difference. I agree with Mitch, it is worth cleaning the barrel and start again. Phil
  7. I had an RM8 a few years back, shocking piece of trash, couldn't wait to get rid. The regulator was useless with power output running from 9.4 - 11.6fpe and unless you have it on bench rest forget it, long heavy barrel and air cylinder..........................save your money. Phil
  8. I am just on the south bank and boy that wind is seriously strong over here as well. the guns have stayed in the cabinet today sadly. Phil
  9. Good number down there BN, well done mate and shooting indoors is a bonus if the wind is blowing there as it is here, full gale force on the East Coast Should have been clay shooting this afternoon and out on the bunnies tonight. Phil
  10. Only time will tell but so far it has ticked all the boxes. I was a little sad to see the DT10 go and if there was the slightest drop in handling, I would not have done the deal but the pension doesn't give great wads of cash on a regular basis so this has just given me a leg up with other things that I want to get sorted. and at the same time I have still a gun I really enjoy using. Phil
  11. A little Ben. My wife was having a good look at one and found it to be very comfortable and well designed for lady shooters. A friend of ours has had one for about 7 months and loves it. She has previously owned a few shotguns for clay shooting but this one stands out. I have not shot it but it looks pretty good and had my wife been shooting as much as we used to, she would have had one in a flash. Hope that helps. Phil
  12. No, either weather or other issues but out tomorrow afternoon and evening so we will keep our fingers crossed matey. Phil
  13. I called in the rfd today, he had a Puncher NP02 (which was going back again with faults) and I can honestly say what a crap bit of kit, the air tank/stock arrangement is awful and the whole thing in the shoulder is as bad as it comes....................................................................I bought an HW110k in .177 which I will pick up on Saturday as it was not conveinient to take it with me. Happy chappie now. Phil
  14. My barrel is the original barrel and has no liner Mitch so how can I change the liner. I know I can have the extra plenum fitted but I think I would need a complete new barrel with liners. Phil
  15. I have to say DB that I am not bothered to be honest as the pellets do a job for me and I will switch to rimmy if needed but the day may come that I invest in a new Impact with all the spec that will give me the ability to play around with new technology products. That of course based on me winning the lotto. ? Phil
  16. That green godess is getting some good use of late BN Phil
  17. Oh well screw that then as I am not buying another barrel, good job I am happy with the results using AA Field. Thanks for the info Mitch. Phil
  18. I don't know to be honest DB just saw it up for sale and it looked really good but when I went back onto the forum, it had been sold. Phil
  19. Who said anything about total extermination, I certainly did not...... Phil
  20. Badgers are a menace in chicken farms causing many deaths to live stock and even wooden chicken sheds, just ask the farms near me. Phil
  21. The issue as always is that the anti brigade, taking bovine TB out of the equasion for a moment, have no idea of the damage to wildlife that the badger causes but through Cwis and his band, the antis will believe them rather than the harsh facts that are the case with badgers. It is about time that a different and factual report needs bringing to the public eye about the damage badgers do................................................but I guess the vast majority of public would not believe our little striped friend could possibly be anything other than cuddly. Phil
  22. I assume they will offer sample packs in both 6.34 and 6.35. I will definately try them in my Mk1 original smooth twist barrel. Already asked my rfd to get them when available. Phil
  23. Ah sorry Mark, I was not being sarcastic at all, I really wondered if you had not posted some piccies as you normally do. I did not mean to offend. I don't post hunting photo's, fac or sub 12 because I don't feel the need, we all do our own thing and mine doesn't include photo's, in fact I wouldn't even think to take a photo but that is just me so don't get so defensive matey, I am not having a dig. I am still crap with a springer perhaps they simply don't float my boat but have total respect for anyone who is a successful hunter with a springer even you Marko ? Phil
