I have heard some really good reports on this little gun although they were sub 12. Are you fitting a reg as you have taken it to fac. I sometimes see a chap in Suffolk when we go clay shooting down there who has a P15 and loves it, mainly used for ratting and ferals, he can't fault it. I did have a few shots with it and thought it was a nice little gun and bang on accurate albeit I was only shooting at about 25mt. I will be interested to hear how you go on with it. Phil

Last year with Covid19 taking an awful hold on the UK, the game fair and most other fair were cancelled, Trish and myself had tickets and were transferred to this year thinking we would be all clear and everything back to normal, same with our hotel bookings. This year in our third lockdown and whilst we are getting the jab and numbers of deaths are dropping, thankfully, the thought of being at the game fair with 100k other people quite honestly frightens the life out of me. We were at the game fair a few years ago when there was plenty of rain and everyone was cramped inside the stands, just

You have to remember that this forum is like no other or certainly that I have been on, we have no 'keyboard warriors' well when we do they soon bugger off and really this is just a bunch of pals having a chat on a platform so cannot be compared to others. I don't find AGF to bad to be honest although there are a few who think they are somewhat superior to others and BBS is not one I ever clicked with but I am not knocking it. This is not an easy forum to get involved in as we take the p1ss out of any situation or anybody but until you get to know the people on here, it is a strange experien

The slugs arrived today Allan and all still in the tubes, many thanks matey. I have just been talking to my dearlt beloved about upgrading my impact but I fear the cost will be too high and not sure what I would get for my original Mk1 with smooth twist barrel OR buy a new barrel (600 or 700mm) and plenum sticking with the existing mags as I am not too bothered about the new ones. Hmmm I will have to get some prices in. Phil -
I am not so sure to be honest, having seen what Simon can do with my old right handed TX was nothing short of bloody amazing and to spend £700 on a lefty is not worth the money to a man who can shoot as well as Simon with the guns he has. Phil

I wonder if AA have appointed Tony Belas to run the company because it is the sort of feck up he would do ? Phil

Thank you Pav, pm on its way. Phil -
Depending where in Suffolk you live, there are some very big game shoots near Darsham area next to Highlodge Shooting ground where you might find a place helping out on the shoot when things get back to normal-ish. I don't live in Suffolk as you can see but visit Highlodge a few times each year and will be down there in May for a couple of weeks although I guess that is stil doubtful at the moment. Phil

Would I still be wasting my time Mitch using them in my original impact barrel as in ORIGINAL barrel. Phil -
Hello Jake and welcome aboard matey. You will be in good company here regarding the hunting side of things with a number of us spilling over into shotgun and rifle shooting on 'Rimfire, centre fire and shotgun' section in this part of the forum. There are also some very clever guys on here who strip and tune springers as well as being pretty good hunters using them as well. We do take the pi55 out of eachother so be prepared to have your trousers pulled down but all in the best of fun. Enjoy. Phil

Well how long has that taken, still, better late than never I guess. Phil

Hw110 anti tamper removal
philpot replied to sam r's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Very good video and well explained BUT I would not dare to do this, just not my comfort zone at all and I envy those who can. One thing I would like to see and that is if anyone has managed to alter trigger pressure on the 110 / 110k because I do find mine and the previous one to be very very light, tooooo light. It is a superb little gun just wish I could balance the trigger weight to a similar weight to my other guns. In fact if I have been using the Impact or springer or even my rimmys, it takes me a few shots to feel the first stage, my pal is the same but Hull Cartridge say they could o -
If your home address and your perm is in the same police authority, you will be okay. If so, phone your police, dial 101, ask for control room and advise them that you are visiting the perm for vermin control giving them your details, the ACTUAL address details of the perm so make sure you have all the details including name and address of the land owner. If they are not happy about it, they will tell you otherwise ask for a log number and off you go but make sure you phone them when you get home to let them know you are now at home and finished for the evening. The Crown wins hands down, no question and I cannot believe anyone could think that the Crown is heavier or unbalanced. Phil
-
Sorry to say I bought one and I am pleased that the rfd is a mate because when it arrived I thought it was bloody awful, in fact all the things you think about the Crown, I thought about the Ultimate Sporter, to say I was hacked off is an understatement as I was so looking forward to getting this gun but it came home with me for one night and went back the next day, the laminate version which I had felt like a lump of concrete, so pleased he is my mate and someone else bought it and was no doubt delighted but that is the whole point, one mans pleasure is another mans poison. Phil
-
A bit strange as the Crown in standard black synthetic stock is 2.8kg whereas the AA 510 Ultimate Sporter in laminate is 3.4kg, not sure about your green stock though. I have only played around in the rfd's range but the crown to me is very light in my hands and a joy to use. Not quite sure where the noise level issue comes from because in sub 12 the Crown is mouse fart quiet BUT anyway if its not your thing, then is isn't. I must admit that as an FX fan, I would not want a sub 12 Crown but in fac .22 oh yes, it would be very nice with my Impact fac .25 although I am not a majot fan of longer

Some years ago I bought a couple of high pitched buzzers to keep the mozzies away while evening fishing, which they did but the bonus was my kids suddenly stayed well clear of me because all they could hear was this high pitched buzzing, winner winner Christmas dinner. Must look where I put them to get ready for the grand kids coming round ? Phil
