  1. Must admit that I did think about one of these in .22 as a dedicated ratter for a contract we just got as I think the .177 will just go straight through at closer range but cant afford another new hw110k more is the pity. I also heard these punch well above their price tag. Phil
  2. Take it to your rfd that you intend to buy the fac rifle from and see what px value you get then if happy, px with him but if not it will give you a guide. It is an old design well outdated and although a decent gun, don't fetch the money they used to as there are a great many options out there which have a number of improvements over this gun. Phil
  3. That makes two of us SL as you rightly say, semi autos often will not cycle 28gr carts and a great many clay grounds will NOT allow loads heavier than 28gr unless they are running a FITASC sporting event which are few and far between. That puts you into higher priced guns such as Beretta or Benneli which I believe will handle lighter shells but it is ALWAYS a case that you have to try the guns to ensure they will in fact cycle the cartridges. Another reason to buy an o/u gun AND if you go for one of the big three, Beretta, Browning and Miroku, you will be buying a gun that will always fi
  4. I am with shovel leaner on this subject. I do quite a bit of clay shooting and in the main semi auto guns are accepted on most sporting layouts but NOT on trap layouts as the fired case flies across into the guy stood next to you and he will be pretty hacked off very quickly. In the US where the semi auto is king, it is expected but even there , the over and under is becoming the gun to use for all clay shooting other than skeet. Buy a decent new or s/h o/u which is very unlikely to give you much in the way of issues. Phil
  5. Perhaps someone downsizing as it looks a bit random having a statue that big in such a small area. Phil
  6. No DB, it was some bloke on facebook that said it was but he was talking about fitting it with every possible extra in the book. I thought it was £4k as stated but not the case, as Mitch said £1843 or finance at £23.14 per month (figures stated by Sportsman shop). Phil
  7. I wouldn't say anything about cleaning the barrel with a rod in fact take that out of the equasion as it is wise not to use it and stick with a pull through. I saw an S200 yesterday in my rfd for £325 but he is putting a profit for the company and the last one I had sold for £300 in cracking condition with a better scope, the bottle, depending on expiry date about £80 is what I bought one for a pal with 4 years left on it so for me I would be looking to sell all in at around £400 (if you have plenty of life in the air cylinder) as the lamp is somewhat outdated now and worth next to nothing.
  8. On facebook a couple of guys were quoting they had checked the price at £3999 not £1800, if it is as you say, then a lot of gun although not cheap but nothing good is. Phil
  9. It may make Daystate look sensibly prices but the logic then goes out of the window, there we are talking of a name that represents utter crap....... Pleased that your Priests are not in the faulty group of guns, not seen a new one as my rfd will not sell them because of the issues but its good to hear they have sorted them out. Phil
  10. He may be a childish pratt but he is the one who created 'Airgun101' so not a fool at all. Anyway, no doubt Matt Dubber will be doing an in depth review later along with Ted Bear so quality reviews to follow not that it makes any difference to me as I will never have the cash to buy one unless the numbers all come up. ? The M3 certainly is taking technical issues to the next level. I didn't see this thread Mitch otherwise I would not have posted my thread 'HOW MUCH' Phil
  11. Who is selling at that price Mitch, is Ian / Blackwoods I had one for a very short time (1 week) but found even with shims, not perfectly tight however I saw a short vid of someone using an Eagle Vision mount which was described as a game changer. I really like the idea of them it is just your head position that feels way out from normal shooting position. 12. Airgun 101 - REVIEW FX Impact M3 - USA + UK PCP Airgun WWW.AIRGUN101.COM REVIEW FX Impact M3 - USA + UK PCP Airgun This is my video of the FX Impact M3. All thoughts and words are my own. Index00:00 - Intro-...
  13. I only know of 4 people who have Priests, all of which have been returned to the importer at some stage with faults and now only one guy still has the Priest but not for long as he is going back to an Impact. It just goes to show that we have a belief that one product is perfect whilst another is just not as good then things can change. I hope you don't have the issues that these guys had. Phil
  14. The new Impact M3 but at £4000......................................................................................................feck off, as much as I love my FX guns......................feck off.
  15. Is that the Superior liner. I was looking at the new Maverick today, only a rwo minute scan but I don't know what the difference is between that and the Impact, very similar.
  16. Sadly not Mitch as the one in mine is a screw in job and only held in place by the screw thread, the main optics front moves in and out for beam focus so the pill would float around but thank you for looking Mitch.
  17. Sniper Systems ZOOM torch Phil
  18. I have a Sniper Systems ZOOM ir torch which I want to let a young friend borrow to try his hand lamping rabbits. I am after a red cree pill to fit in the torch and wondered if any of you have one going spare. I do have an optic fire red torch but it is 30mm dia on the body so will not fit into adjustable torch mount hence if I can get a pill for my ZOOM he will be in business and not cost much at all. I think when he is working again, he will save up for a Pard 007 or 008 but this would give him a start. I will take a photo of the kit and add it to this thread in a short while. Phil
  19. I will have a chat with them as I don't need anything other than the barrel / liner assuming I stay with .25 calibre so I don't think the barrel itself needs to be fac rated so a sub 12 will do the job. Phil
  20. Let me know when you are going down as it would be good to see the pair of you buggers. Phil
  21. A bit late with this guys but here we go. Firstly thanks again to Pav for sending me some samples of the new H&N slug range in .25 to evaluate in my Mk 1 Impact fac. With so much rain, snow and high winds to contend with over here in North Lincs, serious tests have been delayed somewhat. Today was a good day with only a light breeze so testing the slugs was at last going ahead. I checked zero using my normal AA Fields 25.4gr pellets and this was the yardstick to compare group size. Now before I tested the slugs I phoned John Rothery, the importer of H&N along with many o
