  1. I don't know how I missed this Jimmy but I did, dozey old bugger....... Really pleased you are having a bit of fun on the range mate and those Verminators are said to be cracking, I missed out on one last year so bought the 110k instead. You take it steady old friend and enjoy the new gun and scope. Phil
  2. Just thought I would ask, I must admit they look kind of weird whizzing around but having no knowledge of these things, it was worth asking. Phil
  3. As a matter of interest guys, do any of you use the motorized decoys from Isotec, look interesting but are they just a gimmick. PD200 Predator Decoy – Brand New – Best Fox Call BESTFOXCALL.CO.UK The PD200 offers you a high quality, feature filled electronic decoy in a compact design. … <a class="kt-excerpt-readmore"... Phil
  4. Well I have now taken delivery of BenBhoy's Isotec Gc350 caller and I am well pleased. Thank you Ben for replacing the aerial on the hand set, very good of you and a prompt delivery. I was playing around with various call in the garden and the magpie call attracted one from accross the back field so should be ideal for taking a photograph ? or two. A learning curve is now to take place but I have high hopes and it is nice and compact so no hassle carrying it to a chosen spot. I have a small tripod that extends to 24'' so ideal for lifting the sounder in vegitation and a padded fishing t
  5. Well I hope he is not going to keep his distance .................................................................. we miss you Bernard. Phil
  6. Well Simon, I am possibly selling my wmr rimmy but taking off the Endurance 4-16 x 50 s/f, ir so may be of interest mate. Phil
  7. I think you have hit the nail on the head SL, bring them in to us. We have a large range of perms, all of which hold foxes and to be honest not far to walk to reach their regular hunting areas so the caller will be ideal. I am buying Ben's Isotec gc350 which will be for me and I hope to get crow calls on there if possible as we have some great areas for the crows where a lot of damage is done to maize in our area and just to get my two penneth into the crow / general license, what the hell are Natural England doing by putting corvids on the the protected list as far as shooting them to
  8. Ah my favourite call Dave.................................NOT !!!! That bloody thing has driven me round the twist. I have managed it on a couple of attempts but simply cannot get the hang of it. I did throw it one night but after just paying £14, the yorkshire blood came into play and I found it 15mins later ?
  9. Is it still available Ben as I will let my pal know if it is. Phil
  10. Thank you chaps, it is pretty much what I expected. I will pass on your comments to my buddy and he can splash the cash where he feels is right for him. Phil
  11. You do seem to have some seriously bad luck Jake. I assume the Fastmount must be available in a higher spec as I only paid £50 for mine which I bought as a spare to use on an hw99. Perhaps you need to try another make of scope now although I would steer well clear of MTC. Good luck with it mate. Phil
  12. My shooting buddy is wanting to buy one of the above so a quick phone call to our Si Brown to find out which he has, FoxPro Inferno came back the reply. As Si said, some people prefer one make over another with FoxPro and Best Isotec Fox Call seemingly the most popular. My pal is ready to place his order and no reason whatsoever to think the unit Si has would not do a great job but as always it is interesting to get your opinions. I thought it was worth putting out on here to see what your thoughts were because looking at the sheer range of models within each range, it can be somewhat con
  13. I totally agree with Simon regarding the Hawke mounts, utter garbage but as am not a springer shooter, the Hawkes I have had or still own are superb, Endurance, Vantage 30 WA s/f, Airmax and Airmax 30 Compact, Varmint and a cheapo Fastmount have all been excellent but I am the first to admit they were / are all used on pcp an rimfire rifles. I have never used any Bushnell scopes and not for any particulat reason other than the fact that I have never looked through one but only heard good things about them. Phil
  14. It always amazes me how a full on head shot and the little buggers keep going and quite often out of sight. Phil
  15. I don't know if we should be talking to you anymore Jon after leaving us all on our own for soooooooo long, how could you... The gun looks bloody lovely mate although I am not a fan of the WTC scope, much happier with little dots all over the place. I hope you intend staying Jon, you have been missed..........................................................................................................twat. ? Phil
  16. Hello Jmie and a warm welcome to the mad house. If you sty here it is more than likely you will have the p1ss taken and called a few nice names BUT we have great banter and those who stick with it will be part of the best forum out there. Now...................if you haven not got a 3C membership card showing your details, order one as it is then in your pocket and can be shown straight away. There is no easy way to get a perm but I am a big believer in asking everyone you know......family, friends, people in the pub, workmates or anyone you can think of who may know a land owner and go
  17. I have bought two of the chinese copies and found them to me rubbish, just very loose very quickly and will not buy another. Some people have bought the copies and found them to be good but there are so many out there it is difficult to know which ar good. Phil
  18. Yes I have my ticket matey, here in Humberside police region, the medical reporting has not been an issue but as you come under Lincolnshire, the rules are different. As far as I am aware, your cheif constable demands that every application has a full medical report from your doctor.........................................hope your doctor is helpful. If I were you, I would go fac air as your entry as they will get through very easily, you could then apply for a .22lr later, your call but whichever route you take, ask for an open ticket as you cover a number of perms AND invited to shoot on a
  19. I would not jump into buying another MTC scope as all the ones I have owned do not do so well in fading light in fact the Hawke scopes have out performed MTC in this area on every model and the other thing is that MTC have a strange 'white out' in changing light conditions which on my 5 Hawke scopes has not happened once but did on all the MTC scopes. Phil
  20. I am pleased that Simon has got you now Jimmy. Jamie, I am so very sorry to hear your sad news mate. There has been some really sad news on this forum for various people with loss to both young and old, my sincere condolences. Phil
  21. Yes I do miss my .22 fac Rapid, not the gun exactly but the calibre and my love for small guns could all fit nicely together with the P35 after all compare the price with an FX Wildcat. Talking of compact little guns that have to slot into the two and half kilo range, BSA are going to launch their new CLX, a revised Ultra is as near as I could describe it with a better shot count. Phil
  22. I know they are old hat but there again, so am I and these these are so versatile I don't think I need to look elsewhere. Strangely enough I looked on ebay where there are ALWAYS Chronys for sale but not a one, not even the American make whose name I cannot remember. Perhaps another company closed down. If anyone has a Chrony they would like to sell, please let me know or have seen any for sale. Phil
