What do you think to the ATN and how are you getting on with the 110k Phill. Phil
-
I will Dave and also the new 457 which looks really nice. Phil

I must admit that if ever I shot a deer, I would have to take it to a pal to gralloch it as I would be throwing up all over the place. Totally useless at gutting stuff, what a whimp, I know before you say anything Dave. I shoot em and eat em.......................my dearly beloved has to do the bit in the middle ? I am impressed mate, well done. Off to look at a few .22lr rifles next week and a .22 WMR. Never got on with my Anschutz stock, just didn't suit me but the thumbhole is completely different from a quick look at one so we will see mate. Phil
-
What about a GRS composite stock Si. There is a cracking rifle specialist rfd near me who does quite a few stocks for various rifles, I will have a look next week for you mate. There should also be some at the Doncaster show. Are you on for the Sunday. Phil
-
Nice one Dave, a bit strange there is no entry / exit evidence. Like the look of your Tika mate. Phil

I sold my Anschutz .22lr because I didn't get on with the stock and my Impact would do just as well but it falls down in windy conditions and the .22lr with extra weight of slug and the advantage of hv ammo.................................however my Impact is and will stay as my 'go to gun'. I am going next week to look at a few .22lr rifles Phil

For the money it is good value and for someone living a distance from a dive centre or rfd who can refill your air tank, this is ideal in my mind. For me, I will stick to my two cylinders but nevertheless Pledgey, a really good find, nice one mate. Phil

My 47fpe sounds positively low on power Mitch compared to your set up although I am using AA Fields at 25.4gr which works fine. My Crombo is bloody useless with fac and I very stupidly sold my other chrono so at present not testing / checking power (very naughty) other than when at the rfd who tests on the Skan unit. I am putting .22lr back on ticket because they are a bit better in high winds that we have been getting this year but will be using HV ammo. Phil

Just seen that you did your post 6 hours ago Jimmy, what the hell are you doing posting at 4am my friend...... Glad you are going mate, we might be entering the clay shoot although not sure about Trish yet which means we can park inside the ground ? Phil -
We are now in September and the Doncaster show on Sat. 28th and Sun 29th of Sept. will be here in no time at all so who is coming this year. Trish and I will be coming home on the Saturday from a weeks clay shooting at Highlodge in Suffolk so our tickets are for Sunday this year. This is not as good as the Northern Shooting Show but nevertheless it proves to be a good excuse to meet up with good friends as well as buy a few bits and pieces. I take it Si, you and Jimmy are going......................Hope you guys can do the Sunday this time or Trish and I will be having coffee all alone.

Dive bottle legal life-span?
philpot replied to comanche's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
At that price it really was a BARGAIN . If it has a track under the forend, you can buy a 'Hamster' which helps with freehand shooting by giving a better hand hold position. These are hamsters just in case you don't know https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/S400-MPR-Hamster-Support-for-air-rifle/333306801053?hash=item4d9aa22b9d:g:9xMAAOSw5nZdYpt8 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Walnut-palm-shelf-hamster-fits-BSA-R10-SCORPION-NO-DRILLING-REQUIRED/292469880476?hash=item441890369c:g:HzQAAOSwUP5cM5Hy Phil -
Dive bottle legal life-span?

Love the rifle and in my mind better than the new 200 models. Wish I never sold mine. Phil -
One point to take into account is ground clearance and the Passat is not so good as I have found to my cost several times, but a bloody good motor. Phil
-
Agreed and would not even think to go that route. Phil

No Jimmy thats the thing from BAR, RFB is referring to the HW100BP, the new model from Weihrauch that you liked at the Northern Shooting show earlier this year. https://www.airgunshooting.co.uk/news/gun-test-the-weihrauch-hw100-bp-and-bp-karbine-1-5988407 In answer to your question RFB, I really don't know but I think it is beech covered with a soft touch coating as with the 110 and a nasty plastic grip. I didn't realise they are producing a normal length and a karbine version......................it's a fcuking bullpup so what the hell are Weihrauch doing with a 'NORMAL' length ver

What's the best rifle scope for the money
philpot replied to Anthony Crouch's topic in Night Vision & Thermal
The UTG Bug Buster should not be even on the list and the fact that it is tells me that the list is a complete waste of space. Phil -
Well done that man, a proper result Jasper. Phil

Yes, in that price range, the Wildcat every day of the week, I wished I had kept one of mine. The ONLY down side to them is the 8 shot mags which when ratting, can be a bloody pain but apart from that I loved mine. Phil

Just been having a look at one of these in my RFD, not bad really but a few negative points for me. The stock was a little short for me and the pistol grip is preformed to a given shape so if you hand fits the shape of the grip, great but if like me and two other guys in the shop including the owner of the shop, we all found the shaping didn't fit our hand plus a little to short in the depth of the grip. This rifle would benefit greatly by having changable grips as on the FX Impact so you could get a more comfortable grip. Weirauch don't make good looking guns and this one is no different to a

Got the trigger sticks tripod but a bi-pod is handy when prone although I have to confess Sean that once in prone position, I can shoot well enough just can't fcuking get back up again ? Phil

I am also looking at a Tikka .22lr, bloody sound rifles. Phil
