  5. you could get spot mix-in they are a bit dearer per cube but barrow it in for you. also you only pay for the exact amount you use. i think they carry up to 11 cube. we use them for the smaller jobs for convenience
  6. have to agree. and line breeding of a sort was carried out due to most rural villages being in the back of beyond. and transport limited. so there was a limited gene pool. most being bred to local dogs. and only once in a while new blood would come in. as happened in the lakes when the russells entered the fell terrier make up. then best to best again. so not such a new thing really.
  7. i'm also a fan of worker to worker -from workers. more than one way to skin a cat .

  14. this was never going to go well was it. . i had to do two tours. what i will say is when your 17 years old you have no idea what shit is going to hit the fan. and little or no idea what its all about. or the history behind it. i grew up very fast thats a fact. i'm not bitter in any way and hold no grudges. and was treated well by most folk over there. and one day would love to visit again along with a terrier least said soonest mended my old gran used to say.
  15. they are about a quarter of a mile apart FD. ive just seen a cracking buck i will try and get an image of him.
  16. it would surprise me if the countries that have less restrictions than us have nothing of worth. of course folk can only comment on what they see but you have to wonder if its the dreggs that get sent over by dealers with no standards.
  17. could you not put an overfoof system up and put a pitch on your roof and sheet it.
  18. whippets 100% correct that needs shored... sure if your down that depth and everythings going well and have time to take pics...another hour or two to shore up wont hurt, yes I agree the welfare of terrier and quarry is forefront.. but when it comes to human safety... all stops need to be pulled out for the men in the depths... as in safety of man on the shovel is worth more than a terrier surely?don't worry about human safety. Terrier safety comes first.... the big hunter , comments like this make me chuckle , the hunting life bull shite , you throw yourself in front of a car too save your
  19. i used to use anything to hand to help backfill . i did this at a good small place and stuck in a load of stones and sticks in the stop. i dug it to a little bitch the following season and she had somehow got herself between two foxes amongst all the crap i had put in and got between a rock and a hard place so to speak. the damage she took wasnt good and she was lucky to survive it. you would have thought she had had another dog at her back. . never done it since then Maddy named after the bird in the series moonlighting. lol
  20. look what i found. kept em warm for you.
  21. i would be surprised if there wasnt dozens of coppers on this site. some bobbies are partial to a little shooting/ hunting.
