    just a wee post to tell those that showed an interest in ozzy. that he passed away a couple of days ago. he had a long eventfull life and was a sound working companion to me and a dear friend to my kids and grandchildren. he leaves a big hole an our lives. and was one of those that cant be replaced. they broke the mould when they bred this gentle giant. RIP. Ozzy. a few pics to celibrate his life.

    the russell looks a nice sort. is it on the big side for your side of the pond. i sent a bitch over to south carolina in 95. she had some fun in her twilight years over there. what you hunting with your pack.

    i have a bond with my lurcher Ozzy. it only took a decade persiverance is the key

    well half a dozen have invaded the workshop on the 20th. so happy days and a few snaps of them hopefully over the coming months got a few last year of them feeding there chicks.

    no offence taken lee and the jibe was the truth my mutts live indoors most of the time. they all like the radiators apart from bree she prefares to lay in the kitchen on the cold floor.

    Nice smart dog but I'd say you were byast seen plenty with double coat over the years i would say i dont do biast. she has a great weatherproof coat. stripped down to her underwear .put this dog at a radiator and she would be seriously unhappy.

    i have to agree a good border coat takes a bit of beating. and they generally have a thick skin.

    i like a smooth double coat. thick downy undercoat with a longer guard hair. a thick hide is just as important. cant stand the thin skinned short haired coat you see on a lot of terriers these days. they are like a half shut knife in half a hour. best coat ive seen on a russell.

    i was back down there today. saw the vixen emerge once again and got a couple of pics then saw the dog again heading in with something in his jaws but he winded me and legged it. got a quck snap of him. he is definately feeding the vixen no sign of the cubs will leave it a few days and try again. i was to late last year and the cubs where well grown by the time i got pics the pic of the dog is tightly cropped
