  2. a man may smile and bid you hail yet wish you with the devil but when a good dog wags its tail you know its on the level. seems apt. good luck what ever you do in the future
  3. i know what your saying DC. but thats a poor comparison. those pups are built different. ive seen a few well bred fell pups and they dont hold a lot of fat. like a jack pup. i bet that lads pup could jump through a wedding ring. ist just narrow built. they tend to shoot up and stay lean. then fill out when around 18 months to two years.
  4. one of each is ample if they are both good at there job. i often think of another lurcher but it would take the work from the one i have. . its easy to end up over dogged and turn a happy pastime into a stressfull hobby. just my thoughts

  10. hardest part of my job i reckon is the big cement fibre roofs . the last one was 360 ft by 120 ft. after a day heaving ten foot sheets up the roof you have f**k all left in the tank. although the big concrete pours can be a haerd shift as well. should have stuck in at school lol. we all do everything from the concrete tanks and drainage founds. steelwork. sheeting /cladding/ we also build the parlors herringbone/rottery /and robots although the brighter lads come in and fit them. (the lads that stuck in at school) this job is the reason i prefare a bolter t

The small dog is my young pup, she was in the pickup during all the action, just let out a few times, this time to get in on the photos !She has accompanied us a couple of times to observe the other dogs digging rats out, too early to expect her to get stuck in, already ragging the dead rats, showing a bit of spirit !! good to see em out early. and entered with a bit of common sense and more of the same please treehands.
  16. the problem with having a lot of feral cats is they can end up as big a problem as the rats. . and they can be a real pain when ratting with terriers. my young dog has bumped into a few lately . treehands they are some smart terriers you keep
