Guys I have a old butchers carving knife and one rivet is missing on one side so I reckoned it was put together originally with Cutlery Compression Rivets. Does any body know where I can buy just a pair in the UK? Seem to be all US sites that sell them. Cheers Arry

12mm Tibetan bells on ebay about £1.50 for 15 free postage, I have tried smaller ones they are crap. Can't remember which person i bought them off. Cheers Arry

Yea they do a bit mate but some time its worth putting up with. If you had open ground they not needed, most of our work is hedges. Cheers Arry

You are right mate we use 12mm bells the same as on cat collars and are very good, my mate can hear them lovely unfortunately I can't. I have ring in my hears all the time, some 40 years ago now somebody fired a 12 bore next to my ear when out lamping. I think there is still a risk when your doing a hedge with a lot of cover a burrow 100 meters or so long and only 2 handed we will pick and chose till it dies off a bit more. Cheers Arry

Yes mate if theres plenty of cover they will sit out, but its not just that you can't see if you have all the holes covered. Also a risk of losing a ferret slipping up or down through a thick hedge. Cheers Arry

True mate when you see them big bags looks like the grass is always greener etc. But hang in there mate keep knocking on them doors. Struggling to get out here at the moment so much cover had a few the other day the farmer has goats and they eat all the cover out of the hedges, made it a bit easer. But is so mild even hot it was running out of me. Great you got another dog mate. Cheers Arry

Try scrub down with hot water, allow to dry then I put a squirt of Ferretone its a thin oil for ferrets in that area or a little chopped up chicken, meat or some thing tasty etc. Then they usually stop crapping where they have been feeding or licking up the oil. You might have to repeat the process if they start again but usually twig after a few times. Cheers Arry

Don't give up mate, its a bit patchy this year around here as well. So bloody mild hedges are still green want some frosts but giving warm again this weekend. Always come down again if you want but leave it a while to let it all die off. Did you get another dog? Atb Cheers Arry
