Yes it can . Turn it over so you are looking at the inside of the collar. With a junior hack saw cut a faction ether side of what looks like a weld longways on the transmitter part of the collar. The leather part of the collar should now pull free, thread new leather collar in and mix araldite and run in the grove. Job done allow to dry easy. Hope this is some help. Cheers Arry

I was fishing a well known Ray mark at Mothercombe one night, when two more lads turned up and settled in beside use. Said the usual hellos etc, introduced are selfs to each other. Then one said were your second cousins, of course my reply was feck off. Then he said you have a aunty Elsey and uncle Jerry that live in Exeter don't you, I do I said. Worked it all out and feck me they were, we became good mates and even ended up being on the Wyvern Fishing comity with one of them. Cheers Arry

Mate one thing, its a good idea to just eat a little piece of a mushroom or fungi if your trying it for the first time and keep some back just in case, as I said in earlier post "Some people can't tolerate the "Shaggy Parasol". Please make sure you are 100% happy before eating any mushroom. A couple that live in a village near me lost their kidneys and had to have transplants getting it wrong with mushrooms. Cheers Arry

Yes mate they do tend to appear in the same places under there same trees, probably not until next season now though but always worth a check. I have a few favourite spots for Ceps etc under Oaks most of them that I visit from the beginning of the season till the end. Cheers Arry

Yea Parasol or Shaggy Parasol both edible (some people can't tolerate the Shaggy Parasol). But as I decided to check I opened the Roger Phillips Mushroom book on page 26 and theres a dead ringer"Lepiota Konradii" no common name its rare and edible so it maybe that one. Cheers Arry

Could be on the money there FLATTOP also maybe the Orange Birch Bolete both very similar ether way I would eat it, as long as it didn't cut and go blue, which I don't think it will. It really is a nice find in very good looking condition Cheesemastergen. Cheers Arry

Didn't you have a good run on them Shaggy Ink Caps as well mate. It was so dry this year early part of the season was crap but picked up after the rain started. The Winter Chanterelles just starting and still getting the Hedgehogs, seen a load of Trooping Funnels still about but not confident with them yet. Them blewits came up in my garden, Lol been looking every where for them. Popped a disk in my back while out ferreting Sunday, been in agony since, so I'm bxggered at the moment. Cheers Arry

I think there must be quite a few different strains of VHD or RHD as we had it on some of are permission a while back but it never wiped them right out. Also the first ones I ever found were about 20 years ago, 2 dead rabbits on the same day with blood coming from there ears and nose. I know it was that long ago because I was with my youngest lad and we lost him in 2002 when he was 19, but remember he was about 13 or 14 at the time. There not much difference Steve, but the caps seemed a bit thin and brittle where as others I've found and I don't find many usually have a thicker firmer cap bit like a Field mushroom. Didn't even know there was a "Sordid Blewit", Lol. Must be well cooked and can upset some people, so will try just a small piece first, but I think if I remember right that goes for all the Blewit's. Well going up the garden today and spotted these, thought they were "Wood Blewit's" but didn't look quite right. So after looking through books and on line for about a hour I now think they are "Sordid Blewits" similar but has a thiner cap and less robust they are edible but not so good.
