Sorry mate only just seen this reply. 9 times out of 10 the boxes fail due to the on/off switch depth finder, these can bought of eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferret-Finder-on-off-depth-switch-Deben-Terrier-Locator-/254002432267 If you can solder or know anybody that can solder. Take battery off, take the screw out from centre of the depth wheel then remove the circuit board out of the box. Desolder speaker, now the dog can see the rabbit so to speak. We find the 15' more handy as we do a lot of very thick hedges and is not just 15' down but 15' away from you. The ferret might be out and running up or down the hedge and you can't see it, or if the ferret has sneaked out and further down the hedge a quick walk up and down the hedge and you find where it is. Hope you get what I mean, not trying to patronise you. Cheers Arry

I take Magnesium for arthritis, the base of my thumbs give me feck now ( can't make nets any more). Suppose to help as its an anti-inflammatory, not sure it works but frightened to stop. The pain is so bad some times I can't turn a tap on or off, its a b*****d. Cheers Arry

Those 8' caps are just coax ariel plug caps about a £1 each from a television electoral shop. Just take the cap off the plug and throw the rest away . eBay and pro ferret you will get 8' foot collars 15' foot's are more like rocking horse shit and hard to come by. Fixing them is hard, clean the cap the thread the copper pin in the centre may help. On the side of transmitter on the collar near the resin block you will see a solder blob, have a look under a magnifying glass and see if there is a small copper wire broken. You may be able to re solder if it is. but all the components are moulded i

Just had a long week end here. These cabins next to some lakes Carp to 23lbs, not that big but lovely place. Three double bed rooms kitchen, dinning room, lounge, three TVs and hot tub. Didn't take a rod it was for the wife birthday with family, might have lost my nuts if I did . Bulworthy Lodges if any body is interested near Bideford Devon. Cheers Arry

Well I've taken loads of shots of this copse the opposite side of the valley from my house. Different seasons etc. Then my lad and his mate stitched this photo up for my Birthday. Yes it can . Turn it over so you are looking at the inside of the collar. With a junior hack saw cut a faction ether side of what looks like a weld longways on the transmitter part of the collar. The leather part of the collar should now pull free, thread new leather collar in and mix araldite and run in the grove. Job done allow to dry easy. Hope this is some help. Cheers Arry
